The Global Account Representative (GAR) is responsible managing customer relationships with global strategic accounts based in Singapore. This role also includes overseeing the customer's global footprint within a designated region, geography, or locations. The GAR will implement a targeted growth strategy for each account to create value for the customer by leveraging Pall's resources, thereby achieving competitive differentiation and profitable growth. Additionally, the GAR will be responsible for achieving core growth (orders and shipments) within the allocated SG&A for specific global strategic accounts or their sections/parts.

This position reports to the Global Strategic Account Managers - MGAM and is part of the Global Strategic Accounts Team, located in Singapore - Benoi, and will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to: ​

• Develop and implement account strategies and plans to achieve order, revenue, and margin projections for assigned accounts, ensuring complete customer satisfaction and presenting a unified “one face to the customer.”
• Maintain and execute strategies and opportunities, regional/geographic synergies, and negotiated commercial terms while monitoring competitive activity and reporting to the Global Account Manager.
• Keep detailed customer profiles and SWOT analyses for assigned accounts, leveraging internal resources such as Marketing, Sales, and Customer Service to effectively serve the customers.
• Build and maintain relationships with senior management and decision-makers in assigned accounts, identifying unmet customer needs and collaborating with Technology, Marketing, and Sales for new product development.
• Contribute to the development of new products, applications, acquisitions, and alliances, and participate in the creation and execution of business plans for strategic accounts, driving the promotion and sales of new products.

The essential requirements of the job include​:

Responsibilities

Account Development/Sales

• Understand customers’ needs and provide solutions.
• Lead others in how to meet customer expectations.
• Works closely with Sales Managers, Engineering and Operations to develop strategies that result in customer penetration and sales growth.
• Make sales trips to customer sites as needed to establish new accounts and maintain current accounts.
• Maintains constant communication lines with the customers and stakeholders.
• Maintains good customer relationships at all levels within the customer organization, meets and exceeds bookings/sales goals as agreed upon with Sales Management.

Proposal Generation

• Communicates proposal information to all stakeholders and assembles teams as needed to jointly develop quotes for manufacturing times and materials.
• Reviews the project with the Operations teams to assure that processes and materials proposed are appropriate, typically involves the stakeholders needed (Engineering, Estimating, Sales Management, etc.) in the cost and price review process.
• Works with materials management to determine lead-time and capacity.

Contract Review/negotiation

• Develops strategies for pricing and terms, consults Sales Management, CEO/President, Operations Management.
• Negotiate terms and conditions as required.
• Manages customer changes (ECN) and pursues change claims in a manner that does not impact relationships.

Project Execution

• Manages ongoing programs through completion by monitoring status on a daily basis and involving the appropriate people in the organization to aid in the process.
• Holds in-plant meetings with support functions to communicate project direction and status
• Involves Manufacturing Engineers and/or a project team to process the project
• Provides leadership in pursuing continuous improvement and reduction.
• Supports the manufacturing and engineering departments by clarifying questions on specifications.
• Collaborates with experts to solve problems on projects to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Continually interfaces with customer regarding schedules, changes, problems and pricing.
• Reviews job closing and approves billing, follows up on customer receipt of project, customer satisfaction and payment for customer, supports accounting in resolving invoice/payment problems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• At least 6 years in semiconductor or similar manufacturing industries; experience in contract manufacturing is a plus.
• Proven track record of maintaining profitability on complex machined parts and assemblies.
• Strong ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple assignments with urgency in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• High energy and initiative; adept at seeking out information and establishing strong relationships internally and externally.
• Demonstrated capability in managing and leading project teams effectively.

In this Strategic Account Development role, you will be responsible for driving the growth of NielsenIQ’s Strategic Analytics & Insights (SA&I) business with key strategic global and regional clients in APAC, fostering profitable revenue expansion, and increasing awareness of the broader SA&I portfolio.

As the Account Development Director, you will take ownership of key global and regional client relationships, leveraging your extensive knowledge of the FMCG industry and NielsenIQ’s products and services.
