Our client plays a key role as the finance & treasury centre for their group companies under a Japanese-based MNC in the shipping/logistics industry.

Responsibilities

• Assist in vessel financing, including drafting proposals, negotiating terms, gathering due diligence, and reviewing legal contracts.
• Prepare presentations and papers for internal decision-making and senior management or Board approvals.
• Support the implementation of hedging strategies to mitigate risks related to interest rates and foreign exchange.
• Help track and monitor covenants for secured credit facilities with affiliate companies.
• Participate in due diligence, investment evaluation, and M&A projects using valuation techniques to determine purchase prices.

Requirements

• Possess 1 to 3 years of ship financing/asset-backed financing experience preferably in a corporate banking environment or the shipping industry.
• Candidates with corporate finance or investment banking experience with exposure handling shipping industry deals will be considered too.
• Minimally a Diploma in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting or the equivalent.
• Great proficiency in MS Office suite, specifically Excel.
• Candidates with M&A or Investment Banking exposure will have an added advantage.
