Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to oversee financial operations, regulatory compliance, and business administration tasks as a cooperative service provider company, including work pass applications and ACRA submissions. The ideal candidate will ensure our organization adheres to financial and regulatory requirements while providing strategic financial insights to support decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Operations:

• Prepare and analyze accurate and timely financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Manage general ledger accounts, reconcile bank statements, and oversee month-end and year-end closings.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.

Regulatory Compliance and Reporting:

• Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax regulations, and corporate governance requirements.
• Prepare and file tax returns (e.g., GST, corporate tax) in a timely manner.
• Manage and coordinate statutory filings with ACRA (e.g., annual returns, corporate secretarial compliance).
• Assist in audits by liaising with auditors and preparing audit schedules as required.

Work Pass Applications and HR-Related Tasks:

• Prepare and manage documentation for work pass applications (e.g., EP, S Pass, Work Permits) in compliance with MOM regulations.
• Liaise with government agencies, including MOM and ACRA, to ensure timely and accurate submissions.
• Provide administrative support for onboarding and compliance requirements related to work passes.

Process Improvement and Team Collaboration:

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of accounting and regulatory workflows.
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives and organizational goals.

Other Responsibilities:

• Stay updated on changes in tax, accounting, and labor laws in Singapore.
• Handle ad-hoc projects as assigned, including financial analysis or administrative tasks related to government filings.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA, ACCA, or equivalent certification is a strong advantage.
• At least 5–7 years of relevant experience in accounting, compliance, and regulatory filings in Singapore.
• Experience with work pass applications and ACRA filings is highly preferred.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or SAP).
• Familiarity with government platforms such as BizFile+ and EP Online.
• Advanced Excel skills and the ability to analyze and interpret financial data.

Soft Skills:

• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with a strong sense of responsibility and integrity.
