Job Description

• Formulate and implement effective procedures and protocols to ensure that financial transactions are accurately recorded, monitored, and maintained within the core banking system.
• Responsible in the bank’s financial statements, ensuring they are accurate and timely, and complying with all relevant regulations and directives. This also includes managing year-end statutory accounts and other reporting needs.
• Ensuring compliance with Banking Act and MAS directives within the financial reporting process and other applicable laws and regulations.
• Ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting to Head Office, MAS and other stakeholders. This includes reports like MAS 610, MAS 649, BIS report, MCB, Liability Base etc.
• Ensuring timely and accurate GST reporting to the IRAS.
• Managing the bank’s annual budget, involving planning and forecasting the bank’s financial needs and resources.
• Ensuring compliant in maintaining Minimum Liquid Assets (MLA) and the Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR) under the requirements of MAS.
• Liaise with internal/external auditors, MAS officers, head office, the company’s secretarial service and tax agents. This involves collaborating with these parties to ensure compliance and address any issue.
• Expense processing involving the process of approving expenses in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and effective use of bank’s approved budgets.
• Ensuring proper recording of the bank's fixed assets in complying with accounting standards and tax regulations.
• To discharge other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Management of the Bank, at its sole discretion.

Requirements:

• Degree in Accountancy or equivalent
• At least 5 years working experiences in banking industry.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office application, especially Excel
• Interpersonal relationship skill and a good team player

· Perform Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable functions, including data entry into the systems

· Prepare billing, process payments & reimbursements

· Monthly bank reconciliations

· Prepare and issue monthly statement of accounts

· Follow up on customer collections & execute customer GIRO collections

· Participate in stock take events and inventory related matters
