Job Purpose

The Professional Officers Division (POD) houses a centralized pool of academic staff under the Professional Officers scheme. Professional Officers come with specialised and deep technical skills acquired through extensive industry experience. They form the talent pool which brings a much-needed industry perspective to student learning. They facilitate applied learning and applied research in SIT, complementing the academic expertise of the faculty to bring industry practices and applications into the curriculum.

Professional Officers leverage on their industry experiences to create authentic learning environments, where discovery and innovation take place. They act as coaches and mentors to students during practical learning activities such as laboratory sessions, Capstone Projects and the Integrated Work Study Programme (IWSP). Professional Officers could also lead or work with faculty on industry innovation projects to provide solutions to the industry.

In addition to their role in applied learning and applied research, Professional Officers manage the centralised laboratory facilities and resources in SIT. With Technical Officers, laboratory safety professionals, and administrators in POD, they jointly develop central policies and processes for the safe and seamless operation of laboratories in SIT.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and teach labs & practice modules.
• Mentor students in Capstone Projects and the Integrated Work Study Programme (IWSP).
• Lead or co-lead innovation projects with industry.
• Manage labs and equipment to support academic programmes and applied research.
• Ensure safety in labs

Job Requirements

• A good degree in Building Services, Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Masters, PhD and/or relevant professional certifications like registered PE/CEng would be advantageous.
• Deep technical specialist with 10 or more years of working experience with mechanical systems in Building services environments or facility design consultancy would be preferred.
• Experience in following areas is highly desirable:
• Both design and management of mechanical building systems.
• Use of BIM software for design and engineering works and develop BIM models as well as knowledge in using CAD software such as REVIT, AutoDesk and ArchiCAD.
• Have working knowledge of building services systems such as Heat Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC), refrigeration, lift, heat exchangers, micro-climate, simulations, fire-testing and acoustic experiments
• Have prior working experience in building and facility management

Job Purpose:

Job Responsibilities:

• Process remittance, cheque clearing and GIRO transactions.

Responsibilities:
• Advice the occupier on the following matters in respect to the Environmental, Health and Safety requirement of the project:
• The prevention of injury to personnel and damage to equipment and materials, including the application of safety procedures
• Further improvements to existing safe / sound working method and risk assessment including those arising from new developments.
• The provision, use of suitability and required standards of protective clothings and safety equipments.
• The suitability of new and hired plant and equipment and the validity of all appropriate test certificates.

About the position

The Investment Officer position will play a key role in achieving the Southeast Asia Economic strategy’s objective to increase Australian investment in Singapore, working closely with colleagues at the Australian High Commission and in other Australian missions in Southeast Asia. Job duties:

Responsible for Credit Control and Accounts Receivables Collections for Singapore, and Act as Liaison Officer for APAC with Global Accounts Receivables Team

Credit Control

•Administer the creation, distribution and reconciliation of Accounts Receivables invoices

•Maintain client relationship and client standing data in association with settlements

•Receipt and allocate cash from bank statements or clients correspondences on a timely basis and an accurate manner to ensure zero unallocated cash

•Regular liaison with Global Accounts Receivable Team based in UK on global banking clients of Singapore

•To act as liaison between APAC Accounts Receivable Teams and Global Accounts Receivable Team

•Reconcile the revenue and invoice upload files from settlement systems to accounting

Collections

Reporting

•Prepare daily and weekly collections report and provide commentaries on non-collections as well as number of calls made to customers

•Prepare aged debts reports on a monthly basis to Regional Management, with analysis provided

•Monitor DSO (Days of Outstanding Sales) position on a monthly basis, with analysis provided on Targets shortfall and steps to take to achieve DSO Targets
