About the role

[Accounting-related work]

1. Timely registration and verification of receivables and payables, and conduct monthly financial status analysis.
2. Review the accounting documents provided by the company to external parties.
3. Ensure that accounting records and vouchers are compiled and properly stored in a timely manner.
4. Responsible for handling company accounting records and preparing various audit materials.
5. Develop internal financial and accounting systems and procedures, organize implementation after approval, and supervise compliance.
6. Organize the preparation and execution of the company’s financial revenue and expenditure plans, credit plans, and cost expense plans.
7. Ensure the timely payment of various taxes.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree or above in accounting, finance, or related fields.
2. At least 2 years of work experience; experience in finance, auditing, or investment and financing is preferred.
3. Singaporean citizen or permanent resident.
4. Fluent in English and Chinese, capable of using both for work communication.
5. Solid foundation in accounting and bookkeeping.

Responsibility

• Maintain full sets of accounts of entities assigned
• Prepare accounting schedules and reconciliation as part of month end close process
• Support timely & accurate month-end and year-end closing, including journal entries
• Prepare monthly financial statements for reporting
• Payment and billing processing and cash flow management of the entities
• Handle income tax and any other value added tax (i.e. GST/SST/VAT) and its relevant filing
• Ensure compliance with Group’s policy, process and procedures and local regulations
• Liaise with auditors, tax agent, company secretary and bankers
• Be the master data and system control specialist for the accounting system
• Suggest and execute process improvements initiatives, if any

Responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing of accounts
• Perform monthly reconciliations and prepare schedules, reports and variance analysis
• Ensure accounts prepared are in compliance with accounting principles and guidelines
• Prepare budgets, monitor and update on budget utilisation
• Prepare GST returns and administer all matters pertaining to Withholding Tax and Property Tax
• Prepare documentation of processes, policies and procedures
• Monitor operating cashflow requirements and prepare cashflow forecast
• Maintain records of authorised signatories and liaise with banks on treasury activities
• Work with business units and IT consultants in system implementation and integration projects
• Liaise with internal and external auditors to co-ordinate and manage audit timelines
• Assist in tenancy management to review and maintain all leases and contracts
• Assist in day-to-day finance related activities and any other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Degree in accountancy or professional qualification
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of general accounting principles, regulatory standards and compliance requirements
