Role Description

This is a full-time role for an Accountant/ Senior Accountant at BMC with flexi work arrangement.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage invoices, track payments, and monitor accounts receivables.

• Prepare full sets of accounts, including financial statements, and ensure compliance

with SFRS.

• Handle client inquiries and provide professional advice on billing, accounting, tax, and

compliance matters.

• Provide guidance on GST filings, corporate tax computations, and statutory compliance.

• Enhance accounting workflows and ensure adherence to internal controls and

documentation standards.

• Act as a key point of contact for client communications, providing exceptional service

and resolving any issues or inquiries.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in both Chinese and English, Bahasa/Malay is a plus

• Min 5 years of working experience in accounting

• Familiarity with Singapore’s corporate tax, GST regulations, and ACRA/IRAS compliance

requirements

• Financial Reporting, Accounting Software, and Tax Preparation skills

• Experience in financial analysis and compliance

• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and accounting principles

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other financial tools

Job Responsibilities

• Costing Support: Collaborate with the Principal Accountant to manage manufacturing-related activities, including purchased part cost setup, work order support, and inventory processes. This involves coordination with other manufacturing functions.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly spending reports for cost center owners and conduct spending reviews.
• Reconciliation and Reporting: Prepare and reconcile costing-related balance sheet schedules.
• Month-End Closing: Assist in project accounting activities related to month-end closing.
• Royalty Payments: Prepare quarterly payment requisitions for royalty licensors.
• Compliance and Audits: Provide documentation for SOX compliance testing and audits.
• Scrap Reconciliation: Support the review and reconciliation of global scrap approval details.
• Budget Preparation: Assist in preparing budget templates and simple working files for product cost setup.
• Ad-Hoc Support: Contribute to month-end closing activities and other assigned projects as needed.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to Sarbanes-Oxley legislation by maintaining an auditable system of controls that ensures financial integrity.
• EHS and Safety Compliance: Guarantee operational compliance with relevant Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) regulations and Biz safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties and ad-hoc tasks as assigned.

Job Responsibilities

• Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Accounting or a related field
• Preferably some knowledge or awareness of Manufacturing Costing and Sourcing Operations
• Experience with Oracle and Hyperion, along with strong proficiency in managing Excel spreadsheets, is an added advantage (SOX or US GAAP experience)
• An independent team player with an inquisitive mindset, capable of working with minimal supervision
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of manufacturing accounting practices is a plus
• Excellent attention to details and organization skills

Responsibilities

• Carry out full spectrum of month end closing activities and ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies (IFRS) and local statutory laws and regulations
• Manage the AR/AP subledger, General Ledger, Intercompany, Fixed Assets and Cash Management functions for the company
• Handle invoicing to customers and payment to suppliers and intercompany billings
• Prepare of annual budget with costs analysis and work with HODs for budget submission
• Prepare monthly management reports analysing financial performance of the entities and highlight to management
• Liaise with Group Finance function on any accounting or tax issues and compliance to local statutory and tax laws
• Act as part of Group Finance team in specific subject matter relating to the Region or the Group and perform consolidation tasks.
• Be the process owner for Subledger, General Ledger, Fixed Assets and Treasury and actively participate in system enhancement and process improvement projects.
• Handle and work closely with external and internal auditors for any financial and SOX/operational audits compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Accounting or equivalent qualification with ACCA/CA/CPA
• 4-5 years of relevant experience with at least 3 years as an auditor.
• Audit experience is a must, fresh auditor that has 4 years of experiences and beyond are welcome to apply
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Familiar with Navision or other ERP system and Microsoft Office applications

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ accounting experience.
• Degree or professional qualification in Accountancy or relevant recognized professional qualification.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team and under multi-task environment.
• Prior experience in legal service / professional consultancy sector preferred.
• Proficient in a second working language (e.g. Chinese language) an added advantage.
• Prior experience with accounting software / Proficient in MS Office.
• Singaporean or Singapore PR only.
