This role is for Strides-YTL (ChargEco), a joint venture company. You will report directly to Head of Finance. In this role, you will be responsible in accounting activities including general ledger preparation, financial reporting (monthly and quarterly), management reporting, year-end audit preparation and budgeting and forecasting activities.
Responsibilities:
• Handle full sets of accounts including month-end and year-end financial closing activities.
• Prepare Monthly Management Report, Annual Budget and Quarterly Forecasts.
• Draft management accounts for audit purpose and facilitate audit process.
• Prepare monthly Balance Sheet and supporting schedules.
• Review and monitor all the financial and costing spectrums of accounts, including debtors, creditors, fixed assets, and inter-company transactions.
• Manage cash flow including preparing Treasury Cash Forecasting required by HQ
• Review & submit company’s GST Quarterly Returns and handle all GST-related issues.
• Prepare tax computation, liaise with tax consultant and handle tax queries from IRAS.
• Actively review and improve Finance Department’s internal controls, system and processes.
• Carry-out accounting system improvement and participate in new system implementation or upgrading.
• Liaise with various internal and external parties, including statutory boards regarding financial-related matters.
• Assist in other finance-related matters and ad hoc tasks or projects as assigned.
Requirements:
• Min Diploma in Accountancy or its equivalent with 3 years of relevant experience
• Good communication skills and fluent in English, both oral and written.
• Well versed in MS Office and SAP/Xero system will be an advantage
• Meticulous, organised, good attention to details.
