What we're looking for:

• Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices (GAAP, IFRS)
• Experience with month-end closing, year-end audit processes, inter-company accounting, and a proven track record of solving accounting problems
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Ability to train and mentor junior team members
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, Quickbooks)
• Experience with GST (Goods and Services Tax) filing a plus
• Knowledge or experience with corporate tax computation preferred

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of accounting, encompassing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger functions.
• Oversee cash management, including cash flow forecasting and bank reconciliation.
• Support month-end closing procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Complete all monthly processes and requirements meticulously and within specified deadlines.
• Prepare balance sheet schedules and conduct balance sheet reconciliations.
• Generate regulatory reports, including GST submissions, ensuring accuracy and punctuality.

Job Description

The Senior Accountant is required to have track record knowledge and experience in both strategic and tactical financial management.

Responsibilities:

• Actively manage cash flow and prepare cash flow projections
• Leads the Accounts Department ensuring accuracy of financial documents, as well as their compliance with relevant laws and regulations
• Assess current practices and procedures, and make recomdations for improvements to develop the department including creating and reviewing policies, budgeting, forecasting
• Perform financial management duties including generating financial data, compiling and submitting reports, analyzing financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing guidance, and maintaining strong relationships
• Work with external auditors to ensure correct and timely closing and reporting at year-end
• Develop procurement, purchasing process and documentation
• Prepare and submit tax, GST, ensuring prompt payment and answer to related queries
• Liaise with bank for trade related activities, including factoring, leasing, etc.
• Liaise with Auditors, tax agent and related authorities to ensure legal compliance
• Perform internet banking activities, assist on CPF submission and Income Tax matters
• Conduct forecasting and risk analysis assessments
• Any other ad-hoc assignments directed by the Management
• A strategic Manager with track record of knowledge and experience in facilitating and administering invoice factoring.

• Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree
• At least 5 Years of Experience
