about the role

Reporting to the APAC Support Lead, you will be responsible for SAP implementation including the monthly system closing and generate management reporting packs, validating and ensuring the accuracy of the posting in the system, performing UAT testing for reconciliations and journals, maintaining the coding system and provide system related support to the business controlling team and driving process improvements.

skills and experience required

You should ideally be degree or diploma qualified in Accounting or have at least 5 years of hands-on experience in GL functions. You have hands-on experience with SAP systems and are proficient with Excel. Previous experience in systems implementation would be advantageous. You are a problem solver and results-oriented with the ability to communicate effectively, dynamic and adaptable to a fast paced and diverse environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage full set of accounts;
• Prepare monthly and quarterly management reports;
• Financial and costing analysis;
• Cashflow management and planning;
• Annual budgeting and quarterly forecast;
• Corporate tax computation;
• Quarterly GST submission;
• Handle matters pertaining to external and internal audit, corporate tax, corporate secretarial and banking;
• Debts collection and credit control;
• Supervise a team of finance staff;
• Oversee subsidiary’s finance operation;
• Participate in ERP systems implementation and enhancement and
• Business study and ad-hoc projects.

Prerequisite

• Bachelor Degree in accountancy or ACCA;
• At least 5 years of relevant working experience;
• Hands on experience in managing full set of financial reports and prepare financial projections;
• Supervisory experience;
• Independent, meticulous, analytical and hands on;
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
• Self-motivated, energetic and result oriented;
• Positive learning attitude;
• Proficient in MS Excel and ERP system.
• Experience in manufacturing industry preferred;

Responsibilities

• Manage the full spectrum of accounting functions, including Accounts Receivables and Payables, Inventories, Fixed Assets, and General Ledger.
• Provide assistance with SAP and IT accounting system issues.
• Take an active role in developing, reviewing, and improving current financial policies, procedures, internal controls, and systems, as well as updating SOPs.
• Supervise a team of Accounts Executives.
