Job Description:

People supervision

· Provide hands-on coaching and supervision to relevant accounting staff assigned to the entity/entities.

Accounting and reporting

· Ownership of the process to prepare the accounts for the entities assigned in strict adherence to deadlines and instructions given by the region or group.

· Ownership of accounting areas for entity reporting including but not limited to impairment reviews, revenue recognition, leaving indemnities, asset physical counts.

· Key contact with external auditors and internal auditors in planning, executing and completing audits for the assigned entity/entities.

· Perform hands on accounting and month end close activities and reviews; ensuring revenue and costs/overheads completeness and accuracy.

· Institute monthly comprehensive on and off balance sheet risk review and accounts reconciliations; take immediate actions to address risk and ensure balance sheet items are fairly stated at all times.

Compliances and controls

· Ensure filing deadlines for the entities are met and issues addressed promptly.

· Collate and review, monthly and year end reconciliation of local entity statutory results to group reporting ensuring that differences, if any, are approved, adequately documented and appropriate.

· Implement and ensure standard processes and related controls, including but not limited to purchase to pay, order to collection and month end processes, are fully complied.

· Ownership of compliances to Group’s policies, procedures and deadlines.

Cash and Taxation

· Ownership of proper tax compliances and filing for both direct and indirect taxes in the entities assigned.

· Liaise closely with HR/payroll on personal income tax liability and exposures.

· Follow up diligently on cash collections via timely information provision and discussions with local commercial and operations team, highlighting issues and actions promptly.

Other

· Support budgeting process

· Participation in other group and regional initiatives

. Preparation and reporting of budget and forecast and management reports. Analyse financial performance against budget and forecast.

Job Requirements:

Technical

· An ACCA, CPA or CA qualified accountant preferably with some audit experience.

· Proven operational finance experience in a contracting business within a multinational and multicurrency setting.

· Up to date and relevant IFRS knowledge with proven application in commercial and real life business scenarios

· IT savvy and hands-on experience with ERP systems essential

1. Preparation of monthly reports, annual operating and capital budgets for the Territory

1. Degree in Accountancy with ACCA/CPA or other professional accounting qualifications

• Assist Overseas Financial Controller in preparing the consolidated financial statements and lead monthly reporting of actual financial results / operating metrics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• Shipping industry experience preferred.
• Able to work independently and meet tight deadlines.

- Financial Reporting & Analysis

• Prepare, analyze, and present accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Conduct variance analysis to compare actual results with budgets and forecasts.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support business decisions.

- Budgeting & Forecasting

• Lead the annual budgeting process, coordinating with various departments to align financial objectives with company goals.
• Monitor and manage the company's cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity for operations.

- Financial Planning & Strategy

• Support the development of long-term financial strategies to ensure profitability and growth.

- Compliance

• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, including tax filing, audits, and financial reporting standards
• Preparation of Financial Statement, Tax computation, preparation of XBRL and liaise with Corp Sec for ACRA annual Return filing

- Administrative & HR Matters

• Managing administrative tasks related to Finance Department & HR Department including recruitment, Drafting of Employment Contract, CPF Computation, Leave matters, EPOL

- IT Matters

• Liaise with External IT Provider for all IT matters

- Others:

• Fully in charge the support function of RHT Realty Pte Ltd (Agency) which include:
• Preparation of Invoices/Payments/Agent Commission
• Liaise with CEA for agent licensing matters
• Ensure the compliance with CEA Regulations

Working arrangements:

• Work From Home arrangement. Once a week in office if required
• Contract for 6mths to 12 mths, freelance services.

The Assistant Accountant supports the finance team by managing day-to-day accounting tasks, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and assisting with financial reporting.

Responsibilities

1. Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable and receivable.

2. Assist in preparing financial statements and monthly reports.

3. Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts.

4. Process invoices, payments, and receipts.

5. Support the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.

6. Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.

7. Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation.

8. Perform general administrative duties related to accounting.

1. Education: Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Preparation and filing of corporate and property tax returns, payments, reports and maintenance of the Company’s tax database. Monitor and ensure the timely payment of tax liabilities
• Monitor tax audits and inquiries, including preparing responses and providing necessary documentation
• Maintain accurate tax records and documentation for audit and compliance purposes
• Assist in the preparation and review of transfer pricing documentation to ensure compliance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial and operational data for tax calculations and reporting
• Gather necessary data for tax provision and compliance purposes from finance and execution teams
• Provide tax-related guidance and support to internal stakeholders, including finance and operations teams
• Conduct thorough research and analysis of tax laws, regulations and rulings for accurate interpretation and application
• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations and communicate relevant updates to stakeholders
• International Tax exposure will have an added advantage

Key Responsibilities

· Perform daily accounting and finance duties, including Accounts payable, Accounts receivable, General ledger, Tax and bank reconciliation .

· Oversee timely closing processes and reconciliations, including intercompany transactions.

· Handle monthly journals, audit schedules, and lease matters.

· Prepare assigned reports in a timely manner.

· Prepare quarterly GST reporting

· Reconcile intercompany transactions

· Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and corporate policies.

· Coordinate and liaise with internal and external customers, such as Financial Institutions, External auditors, Tax agents, Corporate secretarial agents, Local tax and government authorities, Vendors and related parties.

· Assist with the annual audit process and tax filing (corporate, withholding), as well as any ad-hoc assignments.

· Support system implementation and process improvements.

· Analyse accounts and perform reconciliations.

· Support forecasting and budgeting exercises and processes according to corporate guidelines.

Requirement

· Minimum diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

· Bilingual in English and mandarin is an advantage

· Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CA Singapore) is preferred.

· 1-2 years of relevant accounting experience, fresh graduates are wellcome to apply.

· Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.

· Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with various stakeholders.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
