Responsibilities:

• Establish and oversee accounting operations for new business ventures.
• Manage accounting and financial operations for group companies in Singapore and Japan.
• Prepare, analyze, and report on financial statements and long-term budgets.
• Oversee monthly and annual account closings.
• Ensure tax reporting and compliance.
• Handle general financial operations, including fund procurement, management, investment planning, capital cost management, financial analysis, and risk management.
• Conduct internal audits and manage risk.
• Propose and implement process improvements to enhance business operations.
• Manage daily cash flow, payments, and deposit processing.
• Coordinate with accounting firms.
• Lead and mentor the accounting team, providing training and operational guidance.
• Perform general business management duties.
• Provide support to operations in other international branches.
• Undertake any additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Experience or understanding of preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual standalone and consolidated financial statements.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with prior team management experience.
• Knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and IFRS.
• Proficiency in Japanese for communication with Japanese-speaking colleagues and headquarters.
• Experience using accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, MYOB) in Singapore.
• High IT literacy.
• Experience with data analysis tools.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Experience in an owner-operated company

Requirements:

• Preferably 1 year of working experience in accounting, audit, corporate or individual insolvency and/or restructuring space.
• Possess a Diploma or Degree in Accountancy and/or ACCA // Business Administration or equivalent

Jobs Scope:

• Preparation of documents for conflict checks.
• Liaising with clients on the documents required.
• Performing an analysis on the historical and current financial performance of the clients.
• Performing a review of historical transactions.
• Investigating the cause of the insolvency.
• Assisting in the preparation of cash flow projections and assessing the validity of the assumptions adopted, taking into account the liquidity constraints / requirements of the client.
• Liaising with government bodies such as CPFB, IRAS, MOM and CPFB.
• Liaising with various stakeholders in the administration of various forms of corporate insolvency and restructuring engagements (such as judicial management, liquidation and receivers and managers) including dealing with creditors’ queries, recovering and realizing assets and fulfilling the statutory obligations of the administrators.
• Familiarising themselves with the prevailing insolvency laws.
• Assisting the Directors and Managers on the administrative aspect of the engagements such as time reporting, preparation of the Bill of Cost, documentation tracking etc.
