This is a senior level management role within the Hedge Funds Services Business Unit of the State Street Alternative Investment Solutions Group. The position interacts with all levels of professionals both internally and externally and with senior level executives of State Street. What you will be responsible for

Education & Preferred Qualifications

• Candidate must have a university degree (business, mathematics, finance or economics preferred, accounting concentration a plus) and at least 7 years of accounting experience, including 2 to 3 years of supervisory and financial reporting experience is required.
• Experience in the Hedge Funds and Fund of Funds is required.
• Strong computer skills are required, especially Microsoft Office, particularly MS Excel.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure timeliness, accuracy and completeness of period-end FA reports (e.g. Fixed Asset Stock-take report, Development Project-in-Progress (DPIP) report, and the Consolidated Fixed Asset Schedule) for management and statutory reporting and audit reviews. This includes reviewing of the asset count, performing FA reconciliation and investigating discrepancies (i.e. add, retire or rectify erroneous transactions reported by users via service requests or identified when reviewing expenditure)
• Review development expenditure to assess correct treatment of expenditures for asset capitalisation, before capitalising the assets.
• Maintain standards of excellence for FA processes by facilitating the learning of HTDs through conducting trainings, providing guidance on FA matters (i.e. ensure FA related SOPs are adhered to) and implementing process changes to strengthen governance and control.
• Participate in automation initiatives and process improvement projects (e.g. use of tools such as RPA bots or data analytics dashboards) to enhance work efficiency

Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting
• Prior experience in Audit will be an advantage
• Prior experience in using SAP will be an advantage

Function Overview

The Derivatives team in Singapore is involved in handling the OTC Derivatives and Structured Notes lifecycle events for wealth clients. This will also include Long-form confirmation drafting for structured OTC trades and the oversight of offshore activities that are performed by our vendors and offshore branches.

Role description

· Handle lifecycle activities and ensure day to day BAU process on OTC events for all markets are processed accurately and timely. (Equity Accumulators, Decumulators, Options, Structured Swaps and Notes).

· Ensure that the client Long-form confirmations are sent on a timely basis.

· Follow-up with counterparties on trade discrepancies &/or liaise with IWM Execution desk to resolve discrepancies.

· Handling all trade enquiries from both external and internal stakeholders.

· Perform ad hoc supports for the manager whenever applicable.

· Investigating and resolving all outstanding break items in Depot and Nostro as well as Internal accounts.

· Ensure daily day-end tasks and reports are completed with checklist signed off.

· MIS – contribute to weekly, monthly KRI/trade volume reporting.

· Review and streamline processes to improve efficiency and control.

· Participate in systems enhancements UAT and new products/initiative rollout.

Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required:

· 3-5 years in Wealth Management / Private Banking Operations for Analyst

· Experience in Structured products and OTC derivatives

· Understand the market rules and regulations for cross products.

· Versatile in excel

· Added advantage if candidate has Avaloq experience
