The position interacts with all levels of professionals both internally and externally and with senior level executives of State Street. What you will be responsible for

Education & Preferred Qualifications

• Candidate must have a university degree (business, mathematics, finance or economics preferred, accounting concentration a plus) and at least 7 years of accounting experience, including 2 to 3 years of supervisory and financial reporting experience is required.
• Experience in the Hedge Funds and Fund of Funds is required.
• Strong computer skills are required, especially Microsoft Office, particularly MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timeliness, accuracy and completeness of period-end FA reports (e.g. Fixed Asset Stock-take report, Development Project-in-Progress (DPIP) report, and the Consolidated Fixed Asset Schedule) for management and statutory reporting and audit reviews. This includes reviewing of the asset count, performing FA reconciliation and investigating discrepancies (i.e. add ,retire or rectify erroneous transactions reported by users via service requests or identified when reviewing expenditure)
• Review development expenditure to assess correct treatment of expenditures for asset capitalisation, before capitalising the assets
• Maintain standards of excellence for FA processes by facilitating the learning of HTDs through conducting trainings, providing guidance on FA matters (i.e. ensure FA related SOPs are adhered to) and implementing process changes to strengthen governance and control.
• Participate in automation initiatives and process improvement projects (e.g. use of tools such as RPA bots or data analytics dashboards) to enhance work efficiency

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting
• Prior experience in Audit will be an advantage
• SAP knowledge is preferred
• Strong MS Office skills (Especially in Excel)
• Strong accounting knowledge to assess the correct treatment of the development expenditures for asset capitalisation
• Strong communication (written and verbal), presentation and interpersonal skills to engage wide spectrum of internal and external stakeholder

This role will oversee the full range of accounting and financial control functions for several business units within their diversified portfolio. This role will involve managing teams, ensuring financial compliance, and driving the performance of accounting processes across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead accounting teams for multiple entities, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of full-set financial statements.

Qualifications:

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and mentor teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to collaborate with senior management and cross-functional teams.
• A qualified professional (ACCA, CA, CPA, or equivalent) with a solid grounding in accounting principles and standards.
• Min. 10-12 years of relevant experience, including working experience in commodity trading or processing sector.
• Thorough knowledge of IFRS and local company law, with hands-on experience in financial compliance.
• Practical understanding of transfer pricing regulations, particularly in cross-border supply chain operations.
