JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for a manager, ideally with a proven track record in leading small teams of accountants and bookkeepers. The right candidate will possess strong communication skills both with internal stakeholders, external service providers and as well as clients. You may also be an experienced and professionally qualified ACCA and looking to take the next step into a senior manager role.
Location: City Hall / Bugis / Bras Basah
Working Hours: 5-day work week, Mondays to Fridays, from 9.00 am to 6.00 pm
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Lead and manage an established team in providing clients with full sets of management accounts, consolidation packages and financial statements for internal reporting and/or audit purposes.
• Undertake the compilation of statutory financial statements and unaudited accounts which comply with the Financial Reporting Standards and the preparation of financial statements in XBRL language for client companies.
• Provide insight on Singapore tax-related matters, such as corporate tax, GST, and withholding tax, as needed.
• Continue to inspire and lead the team to be client-centric, communicating effectively with internal relationship managers as well as client enquiries and concerns.
• Manage communications with relevant authorities, auditors and tax agents concerning client accounting matters.
• Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, building strong bonds not only within the accounting team but also with managers from other departments, such as corporate secretarial, tax, and payroll.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Possess a recognized degree in accounting and hold an equivalent professional qualification like ACCA.
• Demonstrated expertise in Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and a strong understanding of relevant accounting regulations.
• A minimum of 5 - 10 years of progressive experience within an accounting/outsourcing firm with some managerial experience or the potential to step into a managerial role.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to inspire and guide teams toward outstanding results.
• Capable of handling consolidations and technical topics on SFRS and IFRS.
• Demonstrate knowledge and experience in handling ACRA and IRAS reporting requirements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to relevant guidelines.
• Knowledge and/or experience providing accounting solutions for offshore jurisdictions advantageous but not mandatory.
