• Liaise and respond to clients’ requests and queries regarding corporate secretarial matters.
• Assist to remind clients on deadline of holding Annual General Meeting for their portfolio of clients.
• Follow-up with client on the return of documents and forms and ensuring submission of statutory forms and documents to the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority and IRAS within the stipulated deadline.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Preferably of minimum 1 year of relevant working experience in corporate secretarial work
• Training provided for fresh graduates / entry level
• Must have good computer skills especially in Microsoft Word, Excel and PDF editor

Job Description

• Consolidate financial data including from the Company, subsidiaries, and joint venture entities.
• Preparation, review and analysis of consolidated financial statements including required disclosure notes for financial instruments and transactions and M&A deals
• Coordinate with auditors and provide the required support during the audit/review process of financial statements including assisting with queries arising from audits by external audit firms.
• Provide Joint Venture, M&A integration support from a financial statement perspective.
• Record, and report the results of operations for both internal and external financial reporting purposes
• Oversees and executes day to day accounting of activities that include but is not limited to time deposit, intercompany loan, FX hedging, derivative, supply chain financing, cash pooling, accounts payable, accounts receivable, dividends, reconciliations, maintaining charts of account, etc... and financial management and accounting control related tasks.
• Maintain the company’s Accounting Policies, ensuring compliance with IFRS and group requirements.
• Provide ad hoc financial expertise as required.
• Provide accounting technical guidance
• Identifies and researches the appropriate accounting treatment for new transactions and business initiatives.
• Monitors compliance of financial accounting standards, tax regulations, and ensuring effective internal controls over financial reporting processes.

• Research accounting literature to address current issues involving accounting and financial reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Master’s Degree is desirable.
• Professional Certificate: CPA (USA ONLY) or ACCA or Chartered Accountant trained from Big 4
• Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience which may include financial statement consolidation, financial analysis, financial statement preparation, accounting research, mergers and acquisitions, taxation, Accounting for Foreign Exchange Hedges, and accounting for Loans.
• Extensive knowledge of accounting policies and procedures established pursuant to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
• Experience/knowledge in IFRS 10 “Consolidated Financial Statements”, IFRS 11 “Joint Arrangements”, and, IAS 28
• “Investments in Associates and Joint Ventures” with professional industry experience in accounting for transactions/investments/M&A (preferably oil & gas industry).
• Knowledge of IFRS 9 “Financial Instruments” with banking experience in with professional experience in the banking/insurance industry and related accounting (e.g. time deposit, intercompany loan, FX hedging, derivative, supply chain financing, cash pooling).
• Proficiency in both oral and written English.
• SAP or equivalent Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems experience is highly desirable.
• Experience leading transformation projects, process streamlining, and demonstrating ability of planning, prioritizing, and coordinating the team’s workload to ensure meeting critical deadlines.

The Client
They are a digital assets start-up in Singapore backed by one of the largest securities brokerages/investment banks in Japan. They have received in-principle approval from MAS for their CMS license in Singapore. They are at the forefront of integrating traditional financial services with cutting-edge digital assets, offering innovative derivative investment products. They are actively expanding their team to drive an ambitious growth plan over the next 24 months.

Key Responsibilities
1. Accounting Leadership:

• Act as a senior individual contributor, leading and supporting critical day-to-day accounting operations.
• Prepare and review monthly accounts, journal entries, and supporting schedules to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Oversee month-end, half-year, and year-end close processes, including Financial Statements and General Ledger account reconciliations (e.g.,
• Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Accruals, Cash, and intercompany transactions).

2. Financial Reporting and Analysis:

• Prepare and submit quarterly reporting packs, budget plans, and presentations with variance analysis.
• Develop and manage cash flow projections, fixed deposits, and bank account administration.
• Coordinate and submit government financial statistical surveys/data and MAS regulatory returns/surveys.

3. Regulatory Compliance and Taxation:

• Ensure compliance with Capital Markets Services (CMS) license requirements and regulatory filings.
• Prepare and submit GST returns and corporate tax documentation in adherence to Singapore’s tax regulations.
• Handle transfer pricing arrangements to ensure regulatory compliance.

4. Audit and External Coordination:

• Manage relationships with external parties, including internal and external auditors, corporate secretarial agents, and tax consultants.
• Lead the annual audit process, including preparation of audited financial statements and required schedules.

5. Process Optimization and Strategic Finance:

• Work with business and IT teams to identify and implement process improvements that enhance the efficiency and quality of financial operations.
• Serve as part of the Finance leadership team, contributing strategic insights to the short- and long-term direction of the Finance function.

6. Operational Oversight:

• Manage or oversee the preparation and review of payments, billings (including inter-company activities), and staff claims.
• Maintain company books and financial records in compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS).

Qualifications and Skills

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred, or a comparable combination of education and experience.

Experience:

• Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting or financial experience.
• At least 5 years in a management or senior single contributor role within a brokerage, wealth management, or similar buy-side environment.

Technical Expertise:

• Proficient in Singapore’s regulatory frameworks, corporate taxation, financia lreporting standards (SFRS), and GST compliance.
• Experience in handling cash flow projections, transfer pricing, and financial statement preparation

Leadership and Operational Agility:

• Comfortable "rolling up sleeves" to work hands-on with operational details while contributing to high-level strategic decision-making.
• Proven track record in identifying and implementing solutions to address critical business challenges in fast-paced environments.
