Role and Responsibilities

You will be required to assist our business leaders to analyse the overall technical requirements of our strategic business initiative and to propose and design the overall system and applications solution that will serve as the backbone of the software platform.

You will be responsible to evaluate various technologies and frameworks, plan out the proof-of-concepts, and establish the MVP exit criteria for the proposed functionalities.

You will be hands-on to design, develop/code, QA and roll-out the proposed applications from POC to MVP to full blown capabilities so as to enable the business to reap its ROI. In this regard, you will be adept in every aspect of coding competencies, including but not limited to frameworks, mobile and web program design and coding (in person), API development, DB and system performance tuning, cloud setup, and the incorporation of ML and AI engines.

Qualifications and Experience

Job Responsibilities:

Examinations

• Perform technical reviews and checks on the SCAQ professional and foundation exam papers.
• Work with examiners or co-examiners in the setting and revision of examination questions, answers and marking guides for the technical modules and ensure that the examination questions are set at an appropriate level that meets the standard and rigor required for the programme.
• Assist with exam-day administration, including resolution of invigilation matters.
• Manage the exam marking processes, including liaising with markers, managing of exam appeals according to applicable frameworks and policies.
• Support the secretarial duties of workgroups and committees, including material preparation, presentation at meetings, etc.

Learning materials

• Review and check that learning materials are designed and developed according to programme and module guidelines regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style and terminology.
• Liaise with developers, writers and reviewers on the refresh and updates of learning materials.
• Assist in the development of e-learning contents and resources for programme modules, e.g. recorded webinars, quizzes, etc.

Employer management

• Manage accreditation and re-accreditation of employers under the programme.

Learning Organisation management

• Manage accreditation and re-accreditation of learning organisations under the programme.
• Monitor and communicate with registered learning organisations.

University accreditation

• Work with Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs) based locally and overseas on the review of syllabus and course requirements to support the accreditation and reaccreditation of university degrees according to frameworks and policies.
• Communicate and engage stakeholders in IHLs on relevant changes and updates to the programme.

International recognition and programme reviews

• Work with external stakeholders such as overseas professional bodies and government agencies.
• Participate in the review, assessment and /or negotiation process in connection with module interchangeability, mutual credit recognition, mutual recognition agreements and/ or reciprocity agreements with professional accountancy bodies globally.

Job Requirements:

• An Accountancy degree from a recognised university. Holding a CA (Singapore) or equivalent professional qualification is preferred.
• At least 6 to 7 years of working experience in accountancy-related fields. Having experience in education or adult learning would be an advantage.
