Audit Management and Engagement

Role and Responsibilities

• Part of the team within the Audit Management to implement the Audit Management processes and tools used within the Chief Risk Office.
• Engagement, communication and promotion of the established audit management framework, model and processes to key stakeholders and the broader community.
• Provide secretariat support to the various management meetings.
• Prepare reports and statistics on audit issue status for senior management team.
• Deliver quarterly audit management committee briefing
• Manage multiple audit/compliance tracking.
• Follow-up with audit issue owners to ensure timely completion of corrective and preventive actions.
• Administer and support the audit management workflow tool (IRM AM module).

Requirements / Qualification

• At least 12 years of experience in IT industry with minimum of 8 years of experience in internal IT audits or as primary contact for internal / external auditors.
• Practitioner who is familiar with assessment of IT General Controls, security framework, regulatory requirements for CII or IT security policies.
• Ability to establish and cultivate relationships with a variety of key stakeholders.
• Ability to work under a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Well-developed communication, negotiation and professional writing skills.
• Good inter-personal and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.

Taxation duties:-

• Preparing and filing tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Staying up-to-date on changing tax regulations to ensure compliance with tax deadlines and requirements.
• Conducting tax research to address client enquiries.
• Identifying possible tax credits, deductions and exemptions for clients.
• - Assisting with audits conducted by tax authorities and communicating directly with them for resolutions.
• Assit in MES Renewal
• Other, as required

Accounting duties:-

• Assist in the data entry for accounting transactions and bank reconciliations under the supervision of Accounts Seniors from time to time.

• Preparation of GST schedules and submission

• Preparation of unaudited financial statements

Requirements:-

• Aptitude for math, proficiency with computers.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• High level of efficiency, accuracy, and responsibility.

• Willing to learn, hardworking, independent, self-driven and able to work under pressure

• Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9am - 6.30pm or 10am – 7.30pm (Flexi-time and work days as per TAFEP’s flexible Work Arrangement)

• Training will be provided

- To plan, execute and complete the audit of small and medium companies including drafting of the financial statements

- Reviewing audit workpapers to ensure quality and compliance with relevant standards

- To do consolidation of group of companies and draft up the consolidated financial statements in accordance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards.

- To make recommendation on areas of improvements on internal controls of companies based on the results/findings of the audit.

- To build up a good client relationship and rapport with the client.

- Make best-practices recommendations to management

- Actively take other responsibilities for any ad hoc job assigned

Requirements:

- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma in Accountancy, Bachelor's Degree or Professional Degree in ACCOUNTANCY.

- Eager and willing to learn with a positive work attitude and accountability.

- 2 - 5 years of relevant experience & able to work independently and in teams

- Preferably with some knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards, Companies Act and Standards on Auditing

- Must computer literacy like Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word and some knowledge of accounting software.

- Staff who have long term plan to excel in the audit profession and grow with the firm is an advantage
