• Basic Salary: S$2,500 to $2,700 per month (Part-time)

What’s the Role & Responsibility

The Account Officer is a member of the Singapore Shell Employees’ Union Co-operative Ltd (SSEUC) and will support the General Manager on the full set accounting of the 3 businesses’ functions. He/she will have the support of an Accounting Service Provider and be the focal to liaise with them including but not limited to day-to-day transaction relating to the business. Will also be responsible for the monthly financial closing activities for SSEUC.

• · Review of quarterly GST reporting & the monthly management accounts & the supporting schedules prepared by the service provider.
• · Coordinate & direct the preparation of the budget for financial forecast and variances.
• Monthly closing for the 3 divisions, Aging Report and collating the documents to an Accounting Service provider for final closing on monthly basis. Perform monthly Bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly journal entries for the 3 divisions when required.
• Focal for internal auditors (every 2 years) and external auditors (annual) on yearly financial audit and ad-hoc audits if required. Responsible for coordinating and answering all queries on the financials.
• Supervise and review draft annual financial statements prepared by service provider for accuracy and completeness in accordance with Singapore accounting standards.
• Prepare & present financial performance analysis on quarterly basis for Board meeting and queries by the Board.
• Ensure timely, accurate monthly management accounts.
• Checking one of the business invoices to ensure the accuracy of the invoices billed to the customers. Prepare monthly Cost & Sales analysis report to check discrepancy. Reconciling AR aging report after updating the receipts & monthly invoice register listing. Assist on any billing issue and outstanding queries.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting / finance or equivalent
• Minimum 2-3 years accounting experience.
• Must have strong computer literacy.

Job Scope

• Manage clients’ enquiries and provide insurance advice on quotations, renewal and other request
• Emailing policies
• Identify insurance needs of clients and delivery of solutions
• Preparation of documents relating to transacted business
• Attend walk in customers
• Maintain close relationship with customers and partners
• Handling Maid claim
• Assist key in customers database, debit note and credit note
• Assist in updating refund in system
• Doing contra in the system when customers made payment
• Email SOA to clients and follow up payment
• Carry out any other duties as assigned when required.

Requirement

• Minimum Diploma holder
• Preferably min 3 years relevant experience
• Certificate in General Insurance (CGI) and Health Insurance (HI) Cert is a must.
• Able to start work at short notice

Key requirements:
