We are seeking a meticulous and motivated Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. In this role, you will provide essential support to the accounting department in various functions, ensuring accurate financial record-keeping and contributing to the smooth running of our financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and processing of invoices to clients, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
• Provide support in processing payroll for both office staff and ship crew, including data entry, verifying timesheets, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
• Assist with accounts payable and receivable functions, including processing payments to vendors, recording customer receipts, and managing outstanding invoices.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in the general ledger system.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Perform bank reconciliations to ensure that bank records match company records, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
• Assist in managing cash flow, monitoring account balances, and ensuring timely payments.
• Provide support to the accounting team with other accounting-related inquiries and tasks as required.

Qualifications:

• Diploma in Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Accounts Assistant or in a similar accounting role.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

Job Summary: The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of accounts receivable and accounts payable, third-party billing, intercompany billing, and monthly reconciliation of accounts payable. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Accounts Receivable (AR): Process and manage incoming payments.
   Prepare and send invoices to clients.
   Follow up on outstanding invoices and ensure timely collection of payments.
   Maintain accurate records of all AR transactions.
   
2. Accounts Payable (AP): Process and verify invoices from suppliers.
   Prepare and execute payments to vendors.
   Reconcile AP accounts on a monthly basis.
   Maintain accurate records of all AP transactions.
   
3. Third-Party Billing: Manage billing processes for third-party clients.
   Ensure accuracy and completeness of billing information.
   Resolve any billing discrepancies in a timely manner.
   
4. Intercompany Billing: Handle billing transactions between different entities within the organization.
   Ensure proper documentation and accuracy of intercompany transactions.
   Reconcile intercompany accounts regularly.
   
5. AP Monthly Reconciliation:Perform monthly reconciliation of accounts payable.
   Identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
   Prepare reports on reconciliation status and findings.
   

Qualifications:

• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, and billing.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with intercompany billing and reconciliation.
