Requirements

Successful candidates must have:

• A PhD in educational leadership or related fields (such as, educational management, educational administration, leadership development or school effectiveness and improvement). The ideal candidate will have expertise in key areas of educational leadership, including leadership styles, organizational culture, leadership for instruction, change management, inclusivity, governance, organizational learning, and the mechanisms driving school improvement and transformation. (Applicants who are nearing completion of their doctoral studies will be considered but PhD must be in hand for the appointment);
• A strong research record in educational leadership, demonstrated by publications in high-ranking journals and presses, or, for early career scholars, a promising research and publication trajectory;
• A good teaching record with a positive impact on student learning across all levels, including both graduate and undergraduate courses, as well as in pre-service and in-service teacher training programmes;
• A proven record of service and a passion for making a positive impact in the field of education;
• Familiarity with the Singapore education system would be highly advantageous; and
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and technology skills, combined with a commitment to academic research, teaching excellence, and collegiality.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to:

• Contribute to teaching and course development at the pre-service, in-service, undergraduate, and graduate levels, particularly in programmes for school leaders;
• Provide individualized supervision to student teachers during their teaching practice, including classroom observations and feedback;
• Guide and supervise higher degree students in designing, conducting, and completing their research studies or projects;
• Plan, develop, and implement strategies for professional development;
• Develop a robust research agenda, secure competitive research grants, and publish research in reputable journals or other outlets customary in the field of educational leadership;
• Undertake administrative and/or leadership roles and contribute to service-related activities at the department or institution level;
• Develop and maintain strong professional networks with local and international researchers and practitioners in educational leadership; and
• Share teaching or research expertise with NIE colleagues through various learning and sharing platforms.

The Asst/Manager, Customer Service and Admin is responsible for achieving the highest level of Customer Service to both internal and external customers, and to provide Administration and Human Resource support to the team.

Responsible for processing order information in a timely manner, system entries, proper

coordination and communication with customers and internal Operations / Transport team, and conducts internal trainings and relevant administrative support.

Job Requirements/Responsibilities:

Customer Service Management

• To establish the Customer Service and Administrative function, including developing and leading a team of executives
• To establish the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and Work Instructions (WI) for the Customer Service and Administrative function
• To develop customer satisfaction goals and communicate with department regularly.
• To supervise day-to-day operations in the Customer Service department.
• To record and analyse customer needs and problem, and to provide timely feedback to improve customer satisfaction, optimise customer service quality in all aspect.
• To handle internal and external customers’ enquiry and orders through automated system or manual channels

Administrative Support

• Work with the corporate shared services counterparts
• Assist to assess training needs, design, and establish training matrix and training plan.
• Assist to provide or arrange for required training when necessary.

Requirements:

• Degree / Diploma in Supply Chain / Logistics / Business related discipline
• Work experience in Customer Service or Operational background would be advantage
• At least 3 - 5 years of relevant working experience in logistics industry, preferably in a healthcare or medical related environment
• Self-starter who is able to work in a fast-paced environment, meet tight deadlines with high level of accuracy.
• Possess positive working attitude with initiatives, good team player.
• Strong linguistics in English and another native language or dialect
• Effective multi-tasking and time management skills
• Strong knowledge and skills in MS Office such as Word, Excel and PPT, preferably VISIO
• Experience in using Warehouse Management Software and Transport Management Software

The Services required are set out as follows:

• Assist teachers in the preparation of teaching materials, laboratory resources, conduct of practical sessions and preparation of worksheets;

• Provide support for programmes run by the department which may include shifting of bulky laboratory items;

• Accompany students on learning journeys;

• Manage inventory of school’s laboratory and science equipment and materials;

• Maintain cleanliness and neatness in the Science Laboratory; and

• Assist in any other duties assigned by the school.
