The Position

• Core responsibility is to ensure the smoothness of daily closing tasks:
• Multi-currency bank reconciliations,
• Crypto exchange hedging, reconciliations, and trade accounting,
• Preparing payments and liaise with bank relationship managers when required,
• Ensure that trade AP and AR positions are fully understood and reconciled and issue the daily financial closing report.

Based on learning curve, other responsibilities will follow:

• AP and AR bookings and review (Xero),
• Attending to customer enquiries related to payments,
• Conducting general know your customer due diligence,
• Contribution to GST process,
• Other accounting and reporting duties as assigned by managers.

Salary and Benefits

The salary is dependent on your capability, experience and skills. The typical starting salary is from SGD 3,000 to SGD 4,000 per month for a driven candidate, plus up to 3 months' bonus. • Evaluate all revenue adjustments, rebates, and allowances to ensure they are reasonable, properly authorized with adequate documentation, and comply with hotel policies and procedures.
• Monitor discounts and negative postings to ensure they align with company policies and are properly justified.
• Ensure complimentary and house-use rooms have the necessary supporting documentation.
• Verify that all service charges and taxes correspond with the reported revenues.
• Review the No Show Report to ensure proper adherence to hotel policies and procedures, with appropriate justification for any postings.
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures in the Room Rate Variance Report.
• Reconcile the Guest Ledger, Advanced Deposit Ledger, and City Ledger with the General Ledger on a daily basis.
• Maintain a clear audit trail throughout all tasks.
• Support internal and external audits as needed.
• Assist the Accountant with month-end closing activities.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by management.

Accounts Receivable:

• Coordinate with internal and external auditors regarding Credit Control and Accounts Receivable procedures, policies, and records.
• Ensure payments are posted and reconciled promptly and accurately.
• Update the batch total credit card summary report.
• Review all chargebacks from credit card companies, ensure justification for refunds, and obtain necessary approvals before processing. Notify the Senior Accountant/Accountant as needed.
• Monitor the reconciliation of the City/AR ledger with OTA commissions.
• Reconcile OTA commissions based on contract terms.
• Ensure outstanding OTA commissions and credit card transactions are forwarded to Accounts Payable for accrual processing.
• Review the Guest Balance Report, PM Report, and payment platforms for credit card transactions.
• Ensure timely and accurate billing to debtors, based on original approved documentation.
• Review and verify all PM folio reports in Opera.
• Prepare monthly accounts receivable aging and reconciliation reports.
• Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

• Possess a relevant certification in Accountancy.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with accounting software such as Oracle NetSuite is an advantage.
• Experience with Opera Cloud is preferred.
• Knowledge of hotel industry practices and processes is a plus.

Job Description:

This is a full time role for an Accounts Payable located in Ubi Road. Our client is in the automotive industry. You'll be responsible for circulating suppliers' invoices to various departments for verification and approval before posting. You'll also prepare payments for suppliers and perform monthly reconciliations of creditors' statements of accounts. Additionally, you'll assist in preparing journal entries for the monthly closing of accounts and handle any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of NITEC or certificate in Accounting, Business Administration or equivalent.
• Experiences in using Kerridge Commercial Systems will be advantage
• Preferably with at least 2 years experience in related field.

• Responsible for daily receipt/ bank posting and ensure all incoming funds are accounted for;
• Follow up on unidentified receipts and ensure that receipts are updated promptly;
• Follow up on outstanding balance and monitor for late payment charges
• Creation of customers' invoices
• Other adhoc duties as required.
