• Responsible to resolve unidentified receipts, timely allocation of customer payment & account reconciliation
• Full range of account AR/AP
• Maintain financial records and accounts
• Prepare financial statements and reports
• Conduct monthly AR review with Commercial and send SOA to customers

Accounts Executive

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Perform Data Entry
• Assist in AR/AP functions such as Billing, preparation of payments and invoicing
• Prepare bank reconciliation
• Assist in month end closing activities
• Maintain fixed asset register
• Maintain material master register
• Able to support ad-hoc assignments
• Liaise with bankers, company secretary, auditors and tax agent.

Requirements:

Responsiblities

• Responsible for partial set of accounts including but not limited to Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions.
• Prepare month-end closing journal entries and balance sheet schedules and reconciliation.
• Ensure timely, complete and accurate recording of accounting entries into the accounting system.
• Assist with monthly reporting, budget and audit.
• Maintain good documentation and filing system.
• Assist in the review of internal control procedures to improve accounting processes.
• Perform any additional ad-hoc assignments as and when required.

Requirements

We are seeking a motivated individual to join the Finance Department in our headquarters in Singapore as Accounts Officer. The dynamic team you would be working with is a valuable business partner within our company for over 25 years, providing top notch services to all departments and our international offices.

In this role you would be a proactive member of the Department in ensuring the smooth operation of the book of accounts, accurate and timely recording of business transactions and production of relevant reports as well as providing ad hoc support for planning and analysis.

Tertiary qualification in Accounting/Finance is a must and working experience in the shipping industry is of advantage. You should also be able to exchange information clearly and concisely and have high attention to detail. You should further have outstanding time management competency and be able to work in a fast-moving environment.

Qualification and Personal Requirement:

• 3 - 5 years working experience in a similar role in the shipping industry.
• Minimum diploma in accounting or a business-related discipline.
• Qualification such as CAT or ACCA is an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of IMOS (voyage management software) is an advantage.
• Keen interest in understanding the business of the company.
• Ability to communicate clearly, accurately and concisely.
• Highly attentive to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment;
• Knowledge of accounting principles and terminology;
• Ability to calculate numbers, correct entries, and post to records;
