This Position reports to : Finance Specialist

Liaises with : Financial Accounting Team, Site HR, Project Manager, Cost Controller, Internal/External auditors and suppliers

RESPONSIBILITIES AND MAIN TASKS

• Recording of Suppliers’ Invoice+ Performing and checking invoice verification to ensure purchase process are in compliance with policies and procedures.
• Ensure supplier invoices are correctly coded and input in a timely manner in the ERP system.
• Reconciliation of Statement of Accounts to ensure all invoices have been captured, request copy invoices where appropriate.

Payment

• Ensure timely and accurate payment of supplier invoices and staff expense claims.
• Create electronic bank payment transaction and posting of payment journal.
• Daily update of bank book.
• Handling queries from suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Handle bank reconciliation and other bank-related matter

Financial Closing

• Prepare monthly and quarterly accrual listing.
• Prepare monthly intercompany rebill.
• Prepare monthly journals for review.
• Intercompany reconciliation.
• Prepare monthly audit schedules

Others

• Ensure compliance with regulations, internal controls and statutory audit requirements.
• Compilation of documentation per internal controls requirements.

Responsibilities:

• To Perform General Ledger accounting
• To Manage day-to-day accounting activities
• To Handle computation and GST reporting
• To Handle local statutory and tax obligations
• To Manage Accounts payable /Accounts receivable function and liaise with vendors/ customers
• To Manage monthly account reconciliation
• To report to Manager
• Any other ad-hoc duties assigned

Requirements:

• 3 years working experience in accounting and/or Finance.
• Full-set accounting experience.
• Proficiency in Chinese to communicate with Chinese speaking counterparts.
• Strong knowledge and skills in Singapore Accounting processes.
• Understand & Comply to Singapore Companies Act. Cap 50 and Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
• Well versed in MS Office, especially Excel (knowledge of Pivot tables & other functions)
• Knowledge on computerized accounting system

Job Description

• Industry/ Organization Type: Marine Spare Parts & Machinery Supplier
• Position Title: Accounts Payable Officer
• Working Location: West – Gul Circle
• Working Hours: 5.25 days (Mon-Fri: 8.30 am-6 pm, Alternate Sat 8.30 am-12 pm)
• Salary Package: Up to SGD 2500 + Performance bonus
• Duration: Permanent

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the verification of charges, align supplier invoices with accounts, process payments, and enter data into the accounting system
• General Ledger (GL): Execute payments via cheque and electronic banking, record receipts and payments in the accounting system, and generate weekly cash flow reports
• Journal Entries: Maintain inventory by updating stock costs and recording journal entries, conduct quarterly GST filings and prepare monthly financial reports
• Accounts Payable (AP) and Bank Reconciliation: Produce weekly cash flow reports, and manage monthly procurement of office supplies and refreshments.
