The Role:

• Handle day-to-day accounting tasks, including accounts payable/receivable.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes i.e. ASN FRT and MIS, ensuring financial statements reflect accurate inventory data.
• Conduct regular inventory audits to verify the accuracy of inventory records and identify any discrepancies.
• Collaborate with the warehouse and operations teams to resolve inventory variances and implement corrective actions.
• Analyse inventory data and trends to provide insights and recommendations for improving inventory management practices.
• Develop and maintain audit trails and documentation for all inventory transactions.
• Ensure compliance with company policies related to inventory and financial reporting.
• Prepare and present detailed audit reports to senior management, highlighting findings and suggesting improvements.
• Monitor and report on key inventory metrics, including stock levels, turnover rates, and valuation accuracy.
• Work closely with the finance and operations teams to streamline inventory management processes.

What are we looking for?

• At least 2 years of experience in accounting, finance or inventory management
• Experience with inventory audits and reconciliation is a must

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily finance operations (includes payments, receipts, AP & AR transactions);- Assist in partial/full set of accounts and prepare balance sheet schedules and ensure
• timely, complete and accurate recording of accounting entries into MYOB accounting
• system;
• Posting of month-end closing journal entries;
• General office administration such as: filing, scanning, photocopying, archiving, office
• supplies;
• Assist in preparing documents for submission of government grant claims;
• Manage and handle documents, records and maintain an organized filing system.
• Any other ad hoc duties as assigned by Manager in-charge

Requirements

• LCCI or Diploma in Accounting;
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Fast learner with strong sense of initiative & good communication skills- Able to work independently with minimum supervision

Responsibilities

• Responsible for full set of accounts transaction (AP, AR & GL)
• Manage cash flows and supervise collections/payments issues.
• Prepare monthly financial reports (journal, general ledger, trial balance, balance sheet & profit and loss).
• Handle intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
• Assist in yearly forecasts and budgets.
• Liaise with external parties (e.g., auditors, tax agents, corporate secretarial agents).
• Ensure accounting and internal control procedures comply with group policies.
• Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.

Requirements

• Min. Diploma / Degree in Finance and Accounting or other professional accounting certificate or equivalent.
• Min. 3 years of relevant accounting experience in handling a full set of accounts.
• Familiar with Sage 300 and EPICOR will be highly regarded.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Well organised, meticulous, analytical and able to work independently.
• A team player who is able to deliver under tight deadlines.
