ACCOUNTS EXECUTIVE
Established in 1931, the Singapore Khalsa Association is a premier sport, cultural and recreational Sikh institution. It is housed in a recently refurbished elegant building which is conveniently located in the heart of Singapore. The Association is respectable and professionally managed and provides an exciting and diverse range of activities and programmes for its members and the Sikh community at large. It also offers a variety of amenities and functions rooms for all occasions.
The Association is looking for an Accounts Executive to oversee its accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage all accounting functions, including monthly and annual closing of balance sheets and profit/loss statements.
· Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
· Manage and prepare GST returns and liaise with IRAS for tax-related matters.
· Work with external Tax agent to review Tax Computation.
· Prepare annual budget and monitor expenditure to ensure alignment with the budget.
· Reconcile accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, vendor payments and collections.
· Ensure timely payments are issued to vendors/suppliers.
· Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity.
· Prepare necessary audit schedules for external audit and tax submission (where necessary).
· Support general administrative tasks, and other responsibilities as assigned by management.
Requirements
· Minimum a diploma in Accounting, Finance or related field.
· Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience
· Proficient in Xero Accounting Software.
· Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Word
· Meticulous, well-organised, and able to work independently.
Preferred Skills
· Experience in accounts for associations, societies, and clubs.
Salary
· S$3,500 to S$4,500 per month (negotiable)
