PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Accounts Executive is responsible for entire finance matters in the company and ensure full accounting compliance with the necessary auditing and legislative requirements. Responsible for keeping and updating of all employees’ records and files.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Ensure complete, up-to-date, accurate and accessible records are kept for all employees.

Job Purpose

Key Responsibilities

Job Purpose

To provide financial reporting and other duties.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

(A) Specific :

• Handle full set of account and prepare monthly management report on time.
• Review the work of accounts assistant and provide guidance for them.
• Manage the company cash flow by monitoring on the account receivable collection and liaising with the customers.
• Preparation of budget forecast for the company.
• Ensure that all the statutory and tax requirements for the company are met by liaising with various external parties such as auditors and tax agent.

(B) General :

• Ad-hoc reporting and analysis.
• Other duties as assigned.

(C) Safety:

• To follow the safety procedures, rules and regulations and eliminate or reduce hazard at the work place.

Job Requirements

(A) Education, Qualifications & Special Training :

• Diploma/Degree in Accountancy/ ACCA.

(B) Knowledge & Skills :

• Proficient in Microsoft office and good communication skill.
• Proactive, committed and good team plater with effective inter-personal skills.

• Minimum 3 years financial related experience.

• Able to prepare full set of accounts and perform Bookkeeping functions on a monthly, quarterly or yearly basis for different types of companies and businesses
• Able to prepare and compile financial and management reports
• Preparation, submission and filing of GST returns for our clients
• Preparation of Audit Schedules and liaising with external auditor during Annual Audit
• Having relevant knowledge of corporate and personal tax and handle simple tax computation and able to liaise with IRAS if necessary
• Any other duties/tasks as assigned

Job Requirements

• LCCI higher certificate/diploma or Diploma in Accounting at least 3 years of relevant working experience
• Work experience in a CPA firm would be an added advantage
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Must be initiative, multi-tasking, work independently, hardworking and meets tight deadlines
• Good interpersonal, communication and ability to work under pressure
• Bilingual in English and Chinese preferred (to liaise with Mandarin speaking clients)

Position Overview:

The Accountant supports the Finance Team in their daily tasks in payroll calculations, AR and AP as well as the preparation of the monthly reports. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective management of the organization's most valuable asset - its people.

Accountant’s job

The Accountant’s job is a dynamic role with a multitude of responsibilities, including:

• Ensuring timely, accurate month-end closing and financial reporting to Management
• Responsible for preparation and closing of monthly and annual financial statements
• Responsible for AP & AR process, GL, account reconciliation, etc.
• Coordinate and liaise with internal parties to track and support intercompany billings
• Support and ensure compliance with all finance filing requirements, tax filing requirement (GST), unaudited financial statements and XBRL
• Assist in new processes and system implementation when required
• Prepare Financial statements to close books for venue

Accounts Executive's qualifications and requirements

A degree, although not always mandatory, is very advantageous. An accounting diploma, degree or its equivalent qualification will be considered.

• Good working knowledge of IFRS
• Basic knowledge of payroll calculations and CPF rules
• Well-versed in MS Office, especially MS Excel (intermediate to advance level), PowerPoint and Word
• A self-starter who can plan, organise and take initiative to meet job objectives and deadlines independently
• Can-do attitude, driven and passionate about work
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Position: Accounts Executive

Salary: Up to $3,700

Location: Raffles Place

Working Hours: 5 days, office hours

Responsibilities:

Assisting in Team Administration/Co-ordination with Fund Administrator and Administration within the Company:

• Able to establish and verify statement of banks against trading contract note
• Provide co-ordination with Group Fund Management Company’s activities
• Updating/checking of Register of Shareholders to ensure proper records
• Third party mini accounting spreadsheet
• Provide administration duties (i.e. filings, stationery organization, etc)
• Data entry of funds transactions
• Ad Hoc duties as request by Manager

Assisting Accounting of Companies:

• Data entry
• Print e-banking bank statement & monthly bank balance check
• Check of payable and receivable situation
• Assisting in establishment of invoices and payment check
• Assisting in quarterly closing and reporting to the Management
• Inter Company balance check and reporting to Group management
• Verification and/or establishment of the evidence of the activity (contract, invoices, mail, confirmations etc.)
• Assist in preparation of financial statements and the yearly audit
• Coordination duties with the other companies of the Group
• Team support for other duties assigned

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma in Accounting
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise work
• Attentive to detail and problem solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and work independently as well as in a team
• Ability to work fast under pressure
• Proactive, take initiative and well organised
• Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
• Proficiency in MS Office & MYOB if possible (MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular)
