Key Responsibilities

• Handle full set of accounts including but not limited to Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, and Bank Reconciliation.
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements and ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• Assist in budget planning and management control procedures.
• Handle high volume of transactions and ensure all entries are recorded accurately and timely.
• Manage all aspects of statutory audit and ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations.
• Liaise with various stakeholders including suppliers, clients and auditors.
• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the management.

Our client is a Trading MNC company, one of the leading players in the Oil & Gas sector. Due to business needs, they are now recruiting an Accounts Executive to be part of their Accounting team for ongoing transformation projects. They are located in the Central – easily accessible.

Role Description of Accounts Executive:

• Generate and issue sales invoices on a daily basis.
• Maintain a daily log for invoices and payments.
• Update daily records for sales and purchases, covering Physical, Paper, and Opex transactions, and perform monthly reconciliations.
• Conduct monthly maintenance and valuation of inventory.
• Handle monthly updates and valuation of physical fair values.
• Review and reclassify suspense accounts, ensuring accurate recording of freight costs in the system.
• Track and manage invoice due dates to ensure timely payments.
• Perform other accounting-related tasks as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in AP & GL accounting
• Experience in Oil & Gas industry will be a bonus

Job Description / Responsibilities:

• Execute the daily accounting & costing operation

1. Follow SOPs in established AR & AP processes and perform the required data entry.
2. Check through all POs, verify goods received, process invoices and make the necessary payments.
3. Verify and match shipment records with the system to issue tax invoices to customers and book the payment received.
4. Perform any manual and ad hoc adjustment instructed by the accountant on GL and Fixed asset capitalization.
5. Clarify and reconcile discrepancies with vendors, internal stakeholders, and banking institutions to detect out of the norm and seek approval to adjust.
6. To stand in to manually compile costing data when costing machine breakdown.
7. Generate audit schedule and support audit information preparation.
8. Support in management and auditor reporting by helping with data compilation

Requirements:

• Min a diploma in accounting or business administration equivalent
• Min 1 year of AP experience
• Knowledge of basic principles of AP/ AR and GL
• Basic knowledge of MS Excel
• Working knowledge of SAP system knowledge (good to have)

Reporting to Finance Manager

Job Description:

· Review and verify invoices for accuracy and completeness before submission for approval.

· Ensure proper documentation and coding of invoices to accounts code and cost center.

· Process payments to vendors in accordance with the company’s policies and payment schedules.

· Monitor payment status and reconcile vendor statements resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner.

· Coordinate with user department and vendors to handle payment inquiries.

· Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all payable transactions.

· Prepare monthly bank reconciliation.

· Assist with month-end financial closing activities by providing relevant schedules.

· Assist with audits by providing necessary information and supporting documents.

· Administrative and other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma in Accountancy, Finance or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience in an accounts payable role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft excel and working knowledge of ERP/Oracle would be an advantage.

• Good communication skills.
• Able to work under minimal supervision.
