About the Finance & Facilities Management Department:

The Finance Team oversees the organization’s financial activities, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance with regulations. It collaborates closely with other teams to support strategic decision-making and resource allocation. Additionally, it plays a crucial role in maintaining financial stability and sustainability, contributing to Fei Yue’s overall mission of serving the community effectively.

Responsibilities:

Full Set Accounts:

• Overseeing and reviewing day-to-day financial operations within the company
• Responsible for period end closing process and ensure all journals, AP, and AR sections are closed promptly
• Prepare and review Balance Sheet schedules to its control accounts including bank reconciliations
• Able to lead and provide guidance to team members to meet reporting deadlines
• Liaising with internal stakeholders and external party such as bank, and auditors.
• Monitor and review schedules for the interim and year-end audit
• Other assignment as assigned

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree holder
• At least 3 years of accounting full function experience
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
• Knowledge of relevant accounting software
• Able to work under some pressure with time sensitive tasks
• Meticulous, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• A keen eye for detail and desire to probe further into data
• Multi-tasking and leadership abilities
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and ensure the timely closing of monthly financial statements.
• Prepare balance sheet schedules, including those for fixed assets, leases, etc.
• Monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts.
• Prepare external financial reports as required.
• Compile and prepare monthly GST reports.
• Manage weekly payment processing and payment forecasts.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or other relevant professional accounting qualifications.
• Chartered Accountant (CA) or CPA designation is an advantage.
• Hands-on experience with SAP Business One (SAP B1) is beneficial.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in Financial Accounting and Business Controlling.
• Proficiency in MS Excel is required.
• Must be a hardworking, positive team player in a small accounting department.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented, independent, and possesses strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with a sense of urgency, take initiative, prfioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

Job Description:

• Handle account receivable, bank conciliation and Fixed Assets Register
• Responsible for supplier payments to ensuring the accuracy of all AP postings
• Supplier billing matching and checking payment process
• Operate day-to-day finance operations
• Prepare and compute GST tax quarterly for submission to tax authority
• Prepare Salary and CPF payments
• Prepare crew salary and reimburstments
• Reconcile the Accounts Payable and outstanding payments
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
• Prepare/Review various Business Surveys
• Assist in Corporate income tax compliance
