The Investment Operational Risk and Compliance team is part of the Risk Management Department which drives risk management agenda, ensures sound and effective risk management framework and promotes risk culture. The team oversees and conducts the operational risk management function for Income’s Investment related activities and ensures these activities are compliant with applicable laws, regulations, and internal standards. Your main responsibilities will include:

Investment Operational Risk

• Drive and Support the Investment Operation Risk framework, procedures, and related activities, in the areas of Risk

Management / 2nd Line of Defence.

• Conduct the Incident Notification and Reporting (Ops Loss) for Investment related activities
• Provide support to Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA), Control Testing and Quality Assurance Review, and recommend enhancements on adequacy of the design of internal controls and processes
• Review the Investment Management Agreement (IMAs), Investment Portfolios Guidelines, Subscription Documents and other requests from our Investment Teams.
• Review the Investment Breach Register and Investment's team standard operating procedures (SOP) on a regular basis.
• Participate to the regular review on External Fund Managers.
• Coordinate and prepare Monthly Incident Reporting with the Investment personnel for Risk Management reporting
• Coordinate and support for Substantial Shareholding reporting for other jurisdictions other than SG

Investment Compliance (Regulatory)

• Support to the Investment Compliance (Regulatory) framework, policies, procedures, and related activities (i.e., assessment, dissemination and advisory on Regulations applicable to Investment activities)
• Review and assess Investment Regulatory Breaches, prepare notification to Authorities
• Report and escalate compliance shortcomings, violations and breaches to Senior Management, Board committees, and Authorities.
• Contribute in the preparation of compliance report on a quarterly basis

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Law or equivalent
• Experience in Asset Management / Investment will be preferable
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience either in Portfolios Operations or Investment Compliance or Operational Risk
• Familiar with MAS regulations, notices and guidelines with respect to Fund Management and Insurance Investments will be a plus (e.g. Securities & Futures Act, Code of Collective Investment Schemes, MAS Notice 307, CPF Investment Guidelines).
• Good in communication and writing skills, able to present to and engage with different audience
• Team player with good interpersonal skill, able to work independently as well
• Analytical skills

Job Summary:

Support the development, implementation and administration of C&B programs that align with the company's overall strategic objectives, including salary proposal, benefit management, salary benchmarking, while ensuring cost effectiveness and compliance with legislative requirements.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Engage in different C&B related projects such as salary proposal, benefits benchmarking, annual review process for salary adjustment, bonus and incentive.
• Maintain consistent deployment of compensation policy and practice, identifying inconsistencies and develop corrective actions. Act as a change agent by facilitating, managing and implementing the necessary modifications to ensure that it is communicated & executed effectively and accurately.
• Review of compensation plans with monetary and non-monetary benefits based on employee needs.

Schedule

This role offers work from home flexibility of 1 day per week.

The Executive will be responsible for overseeing the administrative matters of GERI, managing office resources, and providing guidance to staff to ensure efficiency in the overall work environment. Plan, implement and support the institute’s day-to-day operational functions.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

(A) SPECIFIC

1. Ensure efficient operation of the institute in alignment with the institute’s strategic plans.

2. Ensure optimum utilization of resources.

3. Work closely with all staff on issues relating to workflows and improve work processes.

4. Work closely with other departments to provide all-round efficient administrative support services.

5. Oversee and take responsibility for ensuring that the institute’s work environment and premises are safe, conducive, and kept in good order.

6. Organise and run GERI management and staff meetings, including taking and writing minutes of such meetings.

7. Communicate information, announcements, and messages promptly to the wider team (e.g., office organization, building updates, safety measurements).

8. Manage office supplies, printers, and facilities, including purchasing, maintenance, repair, and stocking.

9. Function as a liaison with landlord (YCH), YH Hospital Planning, Facilities Management (FM), Environment Services Dept. (ESD), and Security Department to ensure that the office space is safe and secure, and equipment is well-serviced.

10. Troubleshoot office technical and facilities support. Function as the key liaison with Synapxe and outsourced IT support for staff’s computer problems in general.

11. Provide on-site troubleshooting technical assistance during calls, presentations, projects, etc.

12. Review Annual IT Work Plan with GERI’s HODs and submit proposed plans and budget to Synapxe for review and consolidation.

13. Review the preliminary YH/NHG’s Annual WorkPlan with Synapxe to scrutinize the cost sharing allocated to GERI.

14. Verify IT-related invoices (from Synapxe/AHPL/NHG) on a timely basis, working with Synapxe team staff when needed.

15. Review and ensure staff training and overseas conference applications adhere to NHG HR Travel Policies.

16. Support key research events organised by GERI’s internal teams, as well as staff events such as team bonding exercises.

17. Perform the appointed Fire Warden role for the institute.

(B) GENERAL

1. Provide administrative support as assigned.
2. Assume additional responsibilities as assigned.
3. Support all corporate activities.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
