Option to Extend: for a further period of 1 year (2 January 2026 to 30 September 2026)

Personnel to be deployed at the following hours:

• Mondays to Fridays: 7:30am to 3:30pm, inclusive of 1hr lunch break

The candidate might be required to work beyond these hours on certain days. There will be no overtime pay on such occasions but “Off in Lieu” can be claimed.

The service required are set out as follows :

Room/Lesson preparations

• Prepare materials for Food and Consumer (FCF) and Nutrition and Food Science (NFS) lessons.
• Collate and order the ingredients required for the practical lessons.
• Portion and distribute ingredients on a tray for each unit table as according to the lesson requirements.
• Maintain the rooms used: To ensure that the unit tables, sinks and stove are properly cleaned after each day’s lessons.
• Clean and store away utensils and equipment used in designated cupboards

Teaching materials

• Collate the teaching requirements for each lessons and make the order/purchases.
• Check all materials purchased.
• Check deliveries against the delivery order invoice submitted by suppliers.
• Take stock of materials used and replenish stock when necessary.
• Refer to class time table for preparations of room for lessons.
• Keep records of food purchase bills.

Stocks

• Maintain annual stock take all necessary equipment.
• Do regular maintenance of equipment in the unit.

Others

• Clean refrigerators regularly.
• Ensure the food studios and the preparation room are cleaned regularly and properly.
• Do a major cleanup of the kitchen tables, cupboards and equipment at the end of each term.

The personnel shall minimally have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

• GCE ‘O’ Level.
• Some basic Math knowledge.
• At least 2 years working experience in a similar work environment.
• Possess initiative, positive attitude and ability to work under tight schedules.
• He/She must have good communication skills.

Job Responsibilities

1. Food Safety Management:Develop and implement food safety systems, including HACCP.
   Enforce hygiene and safety protocols in compliance with SFA, MUIS, MOM, and other regulations.
   
2. Inspections and Risk Assessment:Conduct regular inspections of food preparation areas onsite and offsite.
   Identify and assess food safety risks in handling, preparation, and storage.
   Implement corrective actions, training, and preventive measures to enhance safety standards.
   
3. Supplier Compliance:Audit suppliers regularly to ensure adherence to food safety and quality standards.
   
4. Quality Assurance:Update the Quality Management System (QMS) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to meet regulatory and industry standards.
   Maintain accurate and comprehensive records in compliance with policies.
   
5. Regulatory Compliance:Serve as the primary liaison for audits and inspections by SFA, MUIS, HACCP, and ISO.
   Ensure documentation and records meet hygiene and safety requirements.
   
6. Additional Responsibilities:Support any other assigned tasks as needed.
   

Job Requirements

1. Certifications and Qualifications:SFA Food Hygiene Officer certifications and FSMS certification.
   NITEC Certificate or equivalent in Food Science or a related field specializing in food safety.
   
2. Experience:At least 2 years in Quality Assurance or Food Safety within the F&B or catering industry.
   Familiarity with Singapore’s food safety regulations, including HACCP, ISO, and SFA guidelines.
   
3. Skills and Competencies:Detail-oriented with strong compliance skills in food safety.
   Effective communication skills to train and guide team members.
