• Responsible for the full spectrum of Accounts Receivable, including monthly cash flow forecast.
• Accurately and promptly process Goods Return Notes.
• Coordinate the local cheque bank-in process and daily update of incoming funds to the NAV system.
• Timely update of customer accounts.
• Monitor and follow up with customers on overdue accounts and arrange for debt collection.
• Mailing Statement of Accounts to customers and responding to their inquiries.
• Monitor and report on monthly/weekly Debtors aging.
• Prepare Journal entries for accruals and other adjustments.
• Prepare monthly and year-end Balance Sheet schedules.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors.
• Identify opportunities for strengthening current processes and suggest improvements.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the Accounts Payable function, including GST reporting & compliance.
• Review creditors’ aging, vendor account reconciliation & payments to creditors.
• Month-end closing, including review & preparation of journals, general ledger reconciliations (including bank reconciliations), monthly fluctuation analysis.
• Ensure smooth operations of Account Payable function & liabilities are accounted
• Ensure GST returns are filed on time & compliance to GST rules & regulations.
• Review of debit note requests.
• Manage internal & external audits to ensure timely completion & issues are appropriately resolved
• Participate in projects for process improvement/upgrade of ERP system.
• Identify & lead process improvement initiatives.
• Any other duties/projects as may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent.
• At least 6 years of relevant experience in Accounts Payable for mid/large size companies.
• Experience in managing a team.
• Proficient in SAP or Microsoft Dynamics is plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office with Good knowledge of GST.
