Job Description

• Working Location: Ayer Rajah (near MRT)
• Working Hours: 5 days, Mon - Thu (8:30 am -6 pm); Fri (8.30 am - 5.30 pm)

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse accounts and perform reconciliation.
• Produce financial reports to ensure regulatory adherence.
• Coordinate and maintain billings and reports, verify all billings are complete and reconciled to the general ledger.
• Submit periodic financial documents required by the Management.
• Handle month-end closing process, and make correction journal entries for account discrepancies, prepare closing journal entries, post accrual entries, and prepare financial statements.
• Ensure timely, accurate month-end closing and financial reporting to Management.
• Responsible for preparation and closing of monthly and annual financial statements.
• Handle full accounting operations (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, reconciliation) for the assigned countries region.
• Coordinate and liaise with internal parties to support intercompany activities.
• Support forecasting and budgeting exercise as per corporate guidelines.
• Coordinate and liaise with external parties like external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretarial agents, local tax, and government authorities where required.
• Ensure adherence to all financial and tax reporting obligations, including GST, WHT, CIT, etc., audits and procedures, and forms both statutory and internal.
• Identify areas for improvement and implement to enhance financial processes.
• Assist in new processes and system implementation when required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Maintain the fixed assets register
• Provide accounting support and manage the bookkeeping of the Companies (GL, AP, AR)
• Ensure updated records (e.g. vendor invoices, expenses report, credit card report)
• Prepare payments and follow-up on payment matters, bank reconciliation
• To ensure that expense claims are processed and reviewed on a timely manner
• Provide admin support (processing vendor letters, scanning, filing etc.)

Qualifications & Requirements:

• A Diploma preferably in Business, Finance or Accounting.
• At least 1-3 years’ experience in an Accounting or Finance related role.
• Good knowledge of the English language both written and spoken.
• Discipline in filing and maintain of records for accurate book keeping.
• Is able to explain and present ideas in a clear and structured way.
• Able to meet tight deadlines.
• Experience in financial reporting, finance operation and cash flow.
• Strong accounting knowledge and application of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (FRS).
• Displays analytical thinking, meticulousness and the ability to work under tight timelines.
• Knowledge of SAP is advantageous.
• Experienced in the use of MS office applications.

Accounts Assistant

The Accounts Assistant supports the finance team with daily accounting tasks, ensuring accurate record-keeping and compliance with regulations.

Daily/Weekly Duties:

• Handle calls, emails, and inquiries
• Prepare payment proposals
• Process petty cash claims and vouchers
• Submit weekly sales report to the director (every Friday)
• Deposit cash/cheques as needed
• Collect and send mails/cheque payments
• File invoices, receipts, and other financial documents neatly

Monthly Duties:

• Review GSII report
• Verify and process school fees
• Issue invoices and receipts for all centres
• Submit mid-month P&L report

Yearly Duties:

• Submit documents for Year-End P&L and audit reports
• Prepare operational budget for all centres
• Review corporate tax report from WLP

Adhoc Duties:

• Prepare P&L for major events (e.g., Graduation)
• Handle other accounting-related tasks as needed
