RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage the Accounts Payable process including the booking of entries, verifying vendor invoices with supporting documents, and issuing payment, ensuring that local GST is properly accounted for
• Handle staff claims and audit support
• Handle daily cash reconciliation and quarterly group bank reconciliation

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Vessel Accounts Executive to manage and oversee the financial records of vessel operations. Key Responsibilities

1) Liaise with vessel captains to ensure that reports, including Portage Bill, Provision, and Slop chest Account, are in order. Maintain a summary record for reference.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the full range of Accounts Receivable (AR) duties, including preparing invoices, verifying sales, managing month-end closing, and reconciling accounts.
• Prepare and process various documents, such as Credit Invoices, Cash Invoices, and handle Ad-hoc Sales.
• Track and monitor collections and payments and update the Aging List for the Sales team to follow up.
• Reconcile outstanding payments, resolve billing disputes, address discrepancies, and respond to related queries with relevant stakeholders.
• Assist with Stock Management, including tracking daily stock movements and preparing monthly and year-end stock take reports.
• Prepare and process Purchase Orders (PO) and generate the Monthly Purchasing Report.
• Help with Accounts Payable (AP) duties, including verifying and preparing payments, issuing cheques, and maintaining the AP Listing.

We are looking for a Senior Accountant role in an interior fit-out construction firm with strong financial expertise.

Key Job Accountabilities:

• Responsible for finance/accounting reporting (weekly, monthly, annually), including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, GL, and taxation
• Perform account reconciliation, ensure proper transactions and eliminations.
• Review company activity and balances and prepare audit schedule and reports.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting pack, annual audit and ensure timely filling of statutory financial statements and group reporting.
• Submission of ad hoc group information to support business decision making.
• Assist in preparation and analysis of financial data to support group reporting.
• Ensure accounting reports are in compliance with accounting standards.
• Highlights exceptions and provide feedback to management on key findings.

• Support Tax on providing financial related information and schedules.

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Accountancy with minimum 5 years of relevant experience or currently pursuing ACCA (at least completed Level 2) / Degree in Accountancy
• Have experienced in doing Accounts Receivables Management
• Proficient in Ms Office applications
• Proficient in XERO and MS Office applications (e.g. MS Excel, MS Word)
• Strong understanding of finance systems, process and proper accounting treatment in Accounts Receivables Management

Job Description:

• Handle full set of accounts
• Ensure timely submission of monthly accounts receivable/ payables aging for review
• Handle office expenses, staff claims and bank reconciliation

Career Description:

Independently handle a portfolio of Singapore private limited companies' clients for routine bookkeeping, payroll processing, GST, Corporate Tax and XBRL filing and meet ACRA and IRAS filing deadlines.

Assist clients in preparing their monthly, quarterly, or annual management accounts.

Responsible for preparing Unaudited Financial Statements (UFS) for the clients following Singapore FRS (Financial Reporting Standards).

Assist clients with the preparation of quarterly GST returns, annual tax computations, and Form C or Form C-S and Appendices for submission to the IRAS.

Liaise with and advise clients on on-going company's bookkeeping, payroll related, ACRA and IRAS related matters.

Assist the Managers to guide and/or review Executives’ work in handling day to day business outsourcing services.

Support the Managers in the transition of the accounting, GST, Corporate Tax transfer records from the take-over business and on boarding of new clients.

Assist the Managers to implement new software, improve SOP, workflows and processes and ensure the team comply with relevant statutory acts and filing deadlines.

Work as a team member by sharing responsibilities, providing support and maintaining communication with colleagues on an effective and efficient basis

Develop and maintain professional relationships with clients; and

Liaise with external parties and service providers of our clients, where necessary.

Requirements:

Diploma/Degree in Accountancy or a professional qualification under ACCA, SCAQ and ICAEW schemes

Minimum 2-3 years accounting/audit work experience in a public accounting firm

Conversant and understanding of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards and Company Act

Proactive, committed and a team player

Technology savvy, excellent interpersonal, written & oral communication and analytical skills.
