Job description

- Bookkeeping and preparation of management accounts for clients on a monthly or annual basis.

- Accounting for GST for clients

- Preparation and generation of schedules required for audit

- Perform payroll calculations and preparation of the required payroll reports and returns

- Identify and discuss accounting issues with directors

- Able to work independently and flexibly

Requirements

- Diploma or BAcc/business graduates, ACCA graduates

- Good technical knowledge of accounting and GST

- Preferably with 1 year’s relevant experience

Candidates with no relevant experience can be considered for entry level positions.

Your responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to):

• Document financial transactions by entering account information.
• Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile transactions.
• Support month-end and year-end close process
• Preparation, submission and filing of GST returns
• Preparation of Audit Schedules and liaising with external auditor during Annual Audit
• Communicate with Manager and/or Director on work status and client issues that arise.
• Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and generally accepted accounting procedures.
• Responsible for accounting processes and tasks (i.e.: AP & AR process, GL, account reconciliation, etc.)
• Handle daily accounting operations include account reconciliations, staff claims, vendor payments and daily merchant settlements.
• Undertake tasks and projects assigned, where required.
• Assist with coordination work as and when required by superiors.
• Any other responsibilities that may be delegated by your superior or the management when required.

Job Description

• Process daily sales invoice issuance.
• Process daily invoice/payment register.
• Daily sales and purchases daily book updates consist of Physical, Paper and Opex and monthly reconciliation.
• Monthly inventory maintenance and valuation.
• Monthly physical fair value maintenance and valuation.
• Reconciling Suspense account for reclassification, ensuring freight cost are captured in system.
• Monitoring of the due dates of invoices.
• Ad-hoc accounting duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience.
• Good technical knowledge of accounting.
• Good technical knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards will be an advantage.
• Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong numeracy skills, detailed and meticulous.
• Motivated and taking initiatives in problem solving.
• Good communication skills and team player.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office skills.
• Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines (overtime is required during account closing).
• Knowledge in SAP preferred.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Assist management in reviewing internal control processes and implementation for improvements per group policies and procedures adherence.

2. Assist management in establishing new processes and safeguards in driving best practices and system implementation when required.

3. Prepare documents for internal audit per Head Office requirement and support the process such as providing samples (signed contracts, full set of whole cycle operation documents adhering to internal controls).

4. Liaise with other departments/subsidiaries as well as the Head Office to provide financial figures required in various standard and ad hoc reports.

5. Review and assist in managing all accounting aspects, and preparation of month-end financial reports.

6. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Job Requirement:

1. At least 3 years of related working experience, audit background is preferred but not compulsory.

2. Bachelor’s degree holder or above.

3. Candidate with Singapore CA, ACCA, or other qualification body member is preferred.

4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

5. Proficient in using Microsoft Office Apps, candidate with VBA skills is preferred.
