Responsibilities

1. Follow SOPs for AR processes, including data entry, receipts, and cash handling.
2. Upload invoices to portals, update email addresses for E-Invoice/E-SOA, and manage billing and collections on time.
3. Reconcile accounts, track AR ageing, and follow up on overdue payments.
4. Conduct monthly meetings with the sales team to discuss outstanding invoices and assist with new customer accounts.
5. Prepare reports, assist with stock takes, and support annual audits.

Requirements

• Diploma in Accountancy
• 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in accounts payable and banking
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; detail-oriented and accurate

Job Purpose

The role of the Accounts Receivable is to ensure payments received for goods and services, and records these transactions accordingly. It also includes securing revenue by verifying and posting receipts, and resolving any discrepancies.

Responsibilities

Senior/Accounts Officer duties and responsibilities are as listed below. Note that the list is not comprehensive and related duties and responsibilities may be assigned from time to time.

The Senior/Accounts Officer shall be assigned duties in Shared Services:

• Processing and sending out invoices;
• Posting of incoming receipts entries;
• Reporting all daily work-related activities;
• Following very specific and strict deadlines;
• Generating reminder letters and Statement of Accounts to customers;
• Investigating and solving customer complaints and queries;
• Being on the look-out for delayed or missed payments and other such irregularities;
• Month-end and year-end closing including preparing journal entries and posting;
• Reconciling and following up for outstanding items on clearing accounts, debtors’ aging and bank reconciliations;
• Communicating/liaising with customers, Business Units, auditors and statutory bodies;
• Ensuring compliance with the company’s policy and procedures;
• Preparing quarter GST reports;
• Participate in system enhancement testing;
• Administrative and other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Work Experience

• Minimum Diploma in Accountancy
• Relevant working experience in a Shared Services environment preferred

Skills

Technical skills include:

• Good working knowledge of SAP would be an advantage.
• Good numerical and Excel skills

Generic skills include:

• Meticulous in carrying out work orders
• Able to meet tight deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment with a penchant for improvements
• Able to work under minimal supervision
• Good communication skills

• Tally DO with PO with tax invoices
• Prepare weekly cash outflow
• Preparation of AR & AP month end reports
• Provide SOA to clients for payment
• Laison with clients for overdue payment for collection, working with internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies if any
• Generate invoices to clients
• Monitoring AR ageing.
• Assisting on clients’ claim processes
• Maintain proper documentation & filing system
• Other ad-hoc tasks as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in AP/AR
• At least Nitec / Diploma in Accounting of related disciplines
• Advantages for candidates to have experience handling multiple accounting entities
• Working with Xero / have expereince in systems migration
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
