We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Wholesale Food Accounting Executive to oversee the financial operations of our wholesale food business. The ideal candidate will manage accounts, maintain accurate financial records, and ensure compliance with industry and regulatory standards. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of accounting practices within the food or wholesale industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Record ManagementMaintain accurate records of financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, invoices, and bank statements.
  Ensure proper documentation and timely reconciliation of accounts.
  
• Billing and InvoicingPrepare and issue invoices to clients in a timely and accurate manner.
  Monitor payment schedules and follow up on overdue accounts.
  Address client billing inquiries and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  
• Budgeting and Financial AnalysisAssist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for management.
  Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost optimization.
  Support decision-making with actionable financial insights.
  
• Compliance and AuditingEnsure adherence to company policies, tax regulations, and accounting standards.
  Assist with audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
  Keep updated with industry and regulatory changes that affect financial practices.
  
• Coordination with TeamsWork closely with the sales and procurement teams to verify orders, payments, and client accounts.
  Collaborate with logistics and inventory teams to align financial records with physical stock.
  
• System and Process ImprovementMaintain and update accounting software and financial databases.
  Recommend and implement improvements to accounting processes for efficiency.
  

We’re looking for an Accounts Executive to be responsible for the day-to-day accounting & finance function within the company.

• Perform daily accounting & finance duties including receivables, payables processes, general ledger, tax and bank reconciliation, etc.
• Maintain proper documentation and filing
• Produce monthly reports
• Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
• Verify invoices, preparation of payment and recording of payments
• Paying vendors by scheduling pay checks
• Support audit and tax queries when necessary
• Liaise with banks on banking transactions when necessary

Requirements

• Diploma in Accounting or equivalent
• At least 2 years of Singapore experience in accounting & finance performing similar role
• Strong understanding of accounting principles
• Ability to work independently with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency
• Willing to perform basic admin duties when necessary

Additional Information

- 5.5 days working week

Job Responsibilities

• Performing day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording Accounts Receivables’ data
• Monitor incoming payments, monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities
• Ensure accurate and timely invoicing and dispatching of Statement of Accounts
• Verify discrepancies and resolve customers’ billing issues, process adjustments
• Generate AR aging report and analysis
• Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting customers
• Timely AR month-end closing - by 3rd working day of the new calendar month
• Validate customers agreements and termination of Customers' Accounts
• Verifying, recording and posting vendors’ invoices to Accounts Payable module.
• Preparing and posting payment vouchers.
• Generate AP aging report and analysis
• Monitoring inventory movement.

Job Requirements

• Minimum ‘O’ level or equivalent of education
• Fresh graduates will be considered; candidates with relevant experience will be an added advantage
• Strong verbal, and written communication skills
• Meticulous, with an eye for details
• Able to perform tasks independently, and function cohesively with a team
• Thrive well in a fast paced environment
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV will be an added advantage

Requirements

- Diploma or BAcc/business graduates, ACCA graduates
