Financial Management and Oversight

About the Team:

The mission of the Marketplace Intelligence and Data team is to build large-scale data and intelligent products to facilitate the growth of Shopee's e-commerce business. This team is responsible for building Shopee's e-commerce data warehouse, development of merchant and operational data products, end-to-end traffic data products, product algorithms (including product listing, control, information optimization, SPU, etc), promotion algorithms (including product recruitment, product selection, and recommendation algorithms), review algorithms, user profiles, as well as fundamental artificial intelligence capabilities such as machine translation, speech algorithms, image algorithms, and KYC verification.

Job Description:

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Technical Product Management Lead to oversee the development and management of data products and systems that empower Shopee’s marketplace. As a lead in this critical team, you will drive technical project delivery from request planning, competitor analysis, development, testing, UAT, and launch. You will also guide cross-functional teams, and ensure alignment between business goals and technical solutions. The ideal candidate has strong leadership experience and deep domain knowledge in e-commerce, data intelligence, and large-scale product development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of Product Managers to define, prioritize, and execute the product roadmap for Shopee's Marketplace Intelligence and Data initiatives.
• Drive end-to-end product development of technical projects, from ideation, data analysis, testing, launch, and iterations.
• Utilize your domain knowledge in e-commerce and data to identify opportunities, solve complex challenges, and shape the future of marketplace intelligence.
• Conduct comparative analysis and market research to identify opportunities, gaps, and areas of improvement for current solutions.
• Manage stakeholders’ expectations and project timelines, maintain good relationships with stakeholders, and deliver projects in alignment with business objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 4+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on technical and data-driven products.
• Proven leadership experience, managing teams or projects in a product management or technical capacity.
• Strong domain knowledge in e-commerce, marketplace operations, data intelligence, and experience in e-commerce, Internet or IT companies.
• Experience working with large-scale data systems, including knowledge of data pipelines, analytics, and machine learning applications.

Leading ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies for Target Operating Models, BRDs, User Stories, Test Case.

Experience in Data Analysis and any data tracing through multiple systems front to back would be highly beneficial, Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Evaluating front to back control processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions with SME’s and other inputs.
• Leading ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies for Target Operating Models, BRDs, User Stories, Test Case.
• Conducting meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.
• Identifying, communicating ,processes , documenting, and analysing business requirements against risk through process discovery and managing these through to completion/escalation
• Respecting and demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding, compliance
• Law, policy , managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications/ Skills:

• Experienceon futures/ finance and Options products and Clearing industry
• Experienceof Operations, processbusinesses/ functions in an Investment Banking environment beneficial
• Experience in Data Analysis and any data tracing through multiple systems front to back would be highly beneficial, Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Have experience of leading User Acceptance Testing (UAT) projects, including overseeing the development & implementation of the UAT test plan, scripts and tools using the detailed functional requirements document.

QUALIFICATIONS AND BACKGROUND REQUIRED

· Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field

· Min. 5 years of experience in digital or social media marketing industry

· Good command of English and ability to copywrite

· Attention to detail - proofreading, editing and quality control of content from others

· Ability to create social media content and perform basic design editing using software such as Canva and Capcut

· Ability to analyse data and derive actionable insights for improved performance

· Proficient in using social media platforms and business suite – Facebook, Instagram, Threads, TikTok, X, Meta business, etc.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Suite: Excel, Word, Powerpoint
