We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Account Executive to join our dynamic team at SolarGy, a leading Solar EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) company. The primary responsibility of this role will be managing the accounts payable process. Additionally, the Account Executive will provide support for general administrative and accounting duties, contributing to the efficient operation of the Finance department.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable

• Process and verify supplier invoices, ensuring proper documentation and approval before payment.
• Maintain accurate records of all transactions and update the accounts payable ledger.
• Reconcile supplier statements with internal records to ensure consistency and resolve any discrepancies.
• Prepare and schedule payments, ensuring meeting deadlines to support project team.
• Assist with managing vendor relationships and responding to payment inquiries.
  
• General Accounting & Administrative Support
• Assist in the preparation of monthly and year-end closing activities.
• Support the Finance team with bank reconciliations, expense reports, and other accounting tasks as needed.
• Maintain organized financial filing systems and ensure proper documentation for audits and reporting.
• Assist in managing office supplies and other administrative functions to ensure smooth operations.
• Coordinate with project managers and other departments to gather necessary documentation for financial reporting.
  
• Other Duties
• Provide ad-hoc support to Finance Manager as required.
• Perform other administrative duties and tasks as assigned.
  

Qualifications & Requirements

• A diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting role, preferably within the construction, engineering, or energy sector.
• Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks or Xero).
• Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented: Able to spot discrepancies and ensure accuracy in financial records.
• Proactive: Takes initiative to improve processes and handle tasks efficiently.
• Adaptable: Flexible in taking on a variety of tasks and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Our client, a leading manufacturer, is looking for suitable talents to join their growing business as Accounts Executive.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform daily AP duties, verifying invoices and monitoring payment schedules to ensure timely and accurate payments to suppliers, avoiding late payment penalties.
• Liaise with salesmen to arrange advance payments.
• Have basic knowledge of analyzing profit and loss and balance sheet reports for credit limit reviews.
• Assist in preparing payments for staff claims.
• Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payment status, discrepancies, disputes, and other concerns.
• Assist in preparing commission reports, accounts payable reports, including aging reports, payment forecasts, and analysis of trade payables.
• Work closely with the sales and accounts team to ensure timely payments.
• Ensure compliance with internal financial policies, tax regulations, and external audit requirements.
• Maintain accurate documentation for all AP transactions to meet audit and internal control requirements.
• Perform other ad-hoc tasks as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

• Diploma / Bachelor Degree in Accounting
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Account Payable
• Familiarity with SAP, GST and Tax knowledge

• Working hours: 5 days work week

Looking for Accounts Assistant

Criteria :

1) Fresh Polytechic graduate with no working experience are welcome as training will be provided.

2) LCCI diploma will be an added advantage

3) Computer Knowledge in Microsoft Excel

4) Need to know Chinese (liaise with chinese speaking customers and suppliers)

5) Willing to learn and able to work independently

6) Duties includes Invoicing, Collections of Cash & Cheque, Bank Reconciliation and checking of stock

6) Able to start work immediately

Working Hours : 9am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, 5 day week

Salary range : $2,500.00 to $2,900.00 depending on qualification and working experience.

Responsibilities:

• Perform double entry accounting to record and process all business transactions such as sales, purchases, payables, receivables, cash, accruals, prepayments in the accounting system
• Preparation of relevant accounting schedule such as Monthly bank reconciliation and balance sheet schedules
• Preparation of financial statements for a portfolio of companies in accordance with IFRS and SFRS
• Prepare Corporate Income Tax (Estimated Chargeable Income “ECI” and Annual Tax Return (“FORM C”) and related tax schedules
• Other ad-hoc duties as required

Requirements:

• Previous experience not necessary as training will be provided
• Accounting knowledge is essential
• Possess strong analytical skills, meticulous with high level of integrity
