The main responsibilities of the role will include (but not limited to):

Client and relationship:

· Act as a point of contact for the clients on their day to day affairs, with supervision where necessary, and ensure that all communication, whether written or spoken in a professional manner;

· Maintain good relationship with clients;

· Respond to and deal with client queries in a professional and timely manner

· Ensure that the manager is kept up to date with any issues arising from the client or itsactivities

Service provision:

· Prepare financial data for entry into the accounting system

· Ensure all receipts are updated in the accounting system on timely basis

· Handle the banking of cheques into bank accounts on timely basis

· Handle accounts receivables and accounts payables

· Prepare bank reconciliation and audit schedules

· Prepare monthly payslips for payroll purpose

· Handle account closing up to the monthly trial balance, income statement and balance sheet

· Handle quarterly Goods and Services Tax filing

· Handle corporate secretarial documents and annual return filing

· Compilation of accounts or reports (preparation of unaudited report)

· Liaising with external auditor

· Handle corporate tax computation and tax return filing

· Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Requirements

· Minimum Diploma/Degree in Accountancy/Finance;

· Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

· At least 2 years of professional firm experience will be an advantage.

The primary duties and responsibilities of an Accounting Assistant include:

• Experience: At least 5 years in accounting, with bookkeeping and HR/payroll experience. Proficiency in Microsoft OneNote, OneDrive, Excel, and Gmail.

• Prepare full set of accounts and perform Bookkeeping functions on a monthly or yearly basis for investment holding and trading business companies using SAP and MYOB/ABSS software
• Handle tax matters which would include the quarterly GST filing as well as corporate tax.
• Preparation and liaise with corporate secretaries for annual return and XBRL filing
• Prepare financial reports and audit schedules timely and accurately
• Liaise with external auditors for external audits and assist the closure of applicable audit issues raised by external auditor
• Monitor bank account balances & Monthly bank reconciliation
• Raise journals and prepare relevant supporting schedule

Job Description

• Record and tally supplier invoices.
• Reconcile invoices and match them with the payments made.
• Coordinate with Accounts Receivable (AR) to address outstanding balances.
• Compare operation/project costs with customer invoices.
• Monitor and ensure profitability for each project, assessing total customer costs against profits.
• Perform monthly cost analysis and oversee procurement controls for consumables.
• Collaborate with AFC (Accounting/Finance) during month-end closing processes.
• Analyze and identify potential cost risks.
• Confirm invoice accruals in coordination with AFC.
• Assist AR in resolving outstanding payment issues.
• Support Accounts Payable (AP) in addressing payment-related concerns.
• Liaise with suppliers' finance teams and customer finance departments.
• Coordinate with operations and operations administration teams.

Job Requirements
