Job Purpose

The Accounts Executive is responsible in maintaining updated cash book and unpaid Trade Contractor Certificate of Payment Response (TCCP) / invoice log, update invoice receipt into SUN system and all accounts payable functions. The role works closely with other members of the Finance Team, as well as external liaison with Suppliers and Subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

· Check, verify, and record TCCP into unpaid TCCP log and ensuring they are charged correctly into Projects. Subsequently matching TCCP with invoices received from external suppliers/trade contractors

· Maintain and manage all cash and banking records, logs, spreadsheets, and registers

· Ensure the coordination of the statutory audit of cash, year in year out, and resolve all possible queries

- Compilation of accounts or reports (preparation of unaudited report)

Job Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma/Degree in Accountancy/Finance;
- Proactive and committed to meet deadline;
- Pleasant personality and organised.
- At least 2 years of professional firm experience will be an advantage.
- Experience of auditing or tax (corporate income tax) will be an advantage.
- Experience of usage of Quickbooks, Xero, SAGE will be an advantage.

Primary responsibility:

• Entry of clients’ documents into the accounting system and preparation of their financial schedules
• Prepare and file Goods and Services (GST) Tax returns for clients
• Preparation of full sets of Financial Statements from the raw ledgers and schedules

Scope of work:

• Liasing with clients to complete their accounts before the deadline
• Preparing of client's accounts
• Generation of GST reports and submit to IRAS
• Assist in preparing Financial Statements and Tax Computations
• Prepare Accounting Schedules and handle Reconciliation of Accounts
• Assist in external audit

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to support our accounting team. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day accounting tasks, and ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth operation of the company’s financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable and Receivable:

• Process invoices, verify accuracy, and ensure timely payments to vendors.
• Prepare and issue invoices, and follow up on outstanding payments with clients.
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable balances regularly.

General Ledger Maintenance:

• Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Perform journal entries and month-end account reconciliations.
• Support the preparation of monthly financial reports.

Banking and Cash Flow Management:

• Handle bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
• Prepare bank deposits, payments, and other banking transactions.

Compliance and Reporting:

• Ensure compliance with Singapore’s financial regulations, GST submissions, and statutory requirements.
• Assist in preparing documents for audits and tax filings.

Administrative Support:

• Manage accounting documentation, including filing, scanning, and archiving.
• Provide support to the finance team for ad-hoc projects or reports as needed.

Requirements:

• Education: Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: 1-2 years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role is preferred.
• Skills:Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally, SAP, QuickBooks, Xero, or similar systems.
  Must be well-versed in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis tools.
  Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management.
  Good understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
  Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  
• Additional Knowledge: Familiarity with Singapore GST regulations and financial compliance is an advantage.

• Process incoming receipts and clearing of customer balances.
• Responsible for outstanding transactions related to Accounts Receivable.
• Perform AR reconciliations and reporting.
• Responsible for reconciliation of inter-company balances and confirmations including billing.
• Fixed asset monitoring.
• Quaterly preparation and submission of GST.
• Support process improvement initiatives.
• Any other ad hoc duties assigned from time to time.
