Job Purpose

The Accounts Executive supports the finance department in carrying out the responsibilities of the accounting department. He / She is involved in work that is specific to accounts receivable, payment, data compilation, and other accounting tasks.

• Submission of GST returns, prepare corporate tax computation and XBRL
• Manage treasury activities, including cashflow forecasts, working capital requirements and ensure sufficient funding received from clients for seafarers’ payrolls
• Liaise with corporate secretarial agents, auditors, tax agents, solicitors, bankers and statutory organizations etc, for preparation and submission of necessary regulatory documentation & returns
• Ensuring compliance with internal controls procedures and processes in line with company’s policies
• Involved in external ISO & internal controls audits, finance procedures & transfer pricing documentation and writing minutes of meetings
• Any other duties and responsibilities assigned by superior

Education & Experience

• Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent preferred
• Computer literate particularly in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint
• Organized, detailed and deadline-oriented
• Able to work both independently and equally in a team environment
• Possess a positive attitude

Responsibilities

• Conducting periodic account closing operations;
• Prepare payroll, including CPF submission, ad-hoc claim to government authority;
• Prepare management accounts, statutory accounts, GST returns, monthly payroll and other expense disbursements, and year-end remuneration returns (Form IR8A, etc.);
• Preparation full set of accounts – monthly, quarterly, financial year end closing and aging on accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, note to accounts and all related accounting schedules;
• Ensure the reporting and payment process deliverables are submitted to clients or BU stakeholders within agreed timelines;
• Comply with accounting standards, policies and procedures;
• Understand, monitor, and take proper action regarding KPIs;
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description & Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform day-to-day operational matters – Account Receivables (AR) and Account Payable (AP)

2. Recording AR receipts into the accounting system and to ensure all AR collection is up to date

3. To verify vendors’ SOA and prepare payment vouchers

4. To assist in month end closing activities in term of bank reconciliation, GL, accrual, depreciation and prepayment entries

5. Any ad-hoc and other duties as assigned by the company
