Job Requirements

• Minimum LCCI/Diploma in Accountancy with minimum 1-3 years of relevant accounting experience
• Meticulous and well-organized with an eye for details
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Word and Excel);
• Good interpersonal and effective communication skills (spoken and written English and Mandarin to communicate with Chinese-speaking parties such as overseas partners/vendors

The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for assisting with various tasks related to accounts receivable, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections. The individual will have strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Generate and issue customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner
• Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue accounts, communicate with customers regarding outstanding balances
• Process incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
• Perform regular reconciliations of accounts receivable ledger to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or disputes
• Monitor and prepare cash flow analysis
• Collaborate with other departments to address customer inquiries or concerns
• Support month-end and year-end close processes as needed
• Contribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives within the accounts receivable function
• Department admin & ad-hoc duties assigned from time to time

Minimum Educational Qualifications/ Experience required:

• Minimum Diploma in Accounting, Finance or equivalent qualifications
• Minimum 1 year of working experience in a similar role

Skills and Knowledge required:

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (such as MS Business Central, Accpac, etc.)
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work
• Service-oriented with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Organised, self-motivated and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
• Able to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage the full set of accounts.
• Prepare and post AR invoicing, AP payment processes, and ensure accurate records in the system.
• Handle AR receipts and intercompany billing transactions, ensuring timely and accurate postings.
• Compute and post Fixed Assets Depreciation, maintaining up-to-date fixed asset schedules.
• Support the Finance Manager in preparing budgets and forecasts, aligned with the service's business and financial planning objectives.
• Perform month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Assist the Finance Manager in both internal and external audit processes, providing necessary documentation and clarifications as needed.
• Undertake other ad-hoc duties as assigned, contributing to the overall efficiency of the finance team.

• Minimum Diploma in Finance, Accounting, or a related field

• Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, with advanced knowledge of formulas and data analysis tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, standards, and regulations, with the ability to ensure compliance in financial reporting.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of financial documentation and reporting.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines efficiently.

• Able to prepare full set of accounts and perform Bookkeeping functions on a monthly, quarterly or yearly basis for different types of companies and businesses
• Able to prepare and compile financial and management reports
• Preparation, submission and filing of GST returns
• Calculation of staff salary and submission of staff CPF monthly
• Having relevant knowledge of corporate and personal tax and handle simple tax computation and able to liaise with IRAS if necessary
• Provide budget for cashflow purposes
• Any other duties/tasks as assigned
