Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the timely preparation of all daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly accounting and/or taxation reports, including new regulatory related.
• Inputting journal entries into the accounting system.
• Processing account payables and account receivables functions including liaise with vendors, reconciling account balances with general ledger and correcting variances.
• Performing monthly bank reconciliation and follow up on all outstanding items.
• Conducting periodic account closing operations.
• Maintaining a neat and proper filing system for all accounting and/or taxation reporting documents.
• Assist team members in performing accounts assignments, including migration of accounting records to Cloud, Implementation of Cloud Accounting Solutions and Setting up the right Chart of Accounts for the business
• Participate in other duties as assigned by superior
• Other activities related to accounting management.

Requirements:

• Degree in Accountancy, ACCA or other related professional bodies;
• Fresh graduates are welcome
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel; knowledge of accounting software (XERO, QUICKBOOKS and MYOB) is an advantage
• Team player with good communication, interpersonal and client servicing skills
• Meticulous, attention to detail and good organisational skills
• Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines

Perm Client Onboarding Officer, Client Business Compliance

Key Responsibilities

· Support the Team Lead in the development and execution of the Financial Crime Program within BPCAL, especially in the area of Know Your Client (“KYC”) and Client onboarding, ensuring that the Program meets both Group standards and Local regulation requirements.

· Perform KYC including Source of Wealth, due diligence searches and account opening documentation checks for client onboarding and post onboarding client modifications.

· Present to senior management in Due Diligence Committee for approvals on financial crime related matters including client onboarding.

· Identify financial crime risk issues and propose recommendations to Senior Management for resolution.

· Provide compliance advice for Private Banking business on financial crime matters relating to new regulations, client types and business.

· Support the Team Lead in overseeing the resolution of compliance owned management action plans for audits and inspections.

· Build and maintain a proactive and constructive relationship with business and functional stakeholders, working with the Team Lead to design appropriate controls focusing on risk identification and management.

· Strategize and work with internal stakeholders to drive any needed change to enhance compliance processes using technology across the bank.

· Represent the department as needed on projects and initiatives including Group initiated initiatives for financial crime related areas.

· Any other duties as assigned

Requirements

· University Degree in Finance / Banking / Law / Business / Economics

· Good understanding of the AML/CFT regulations and requirements in Singapore.

· Cerebral, considered whilst operational minded with the ability to think out-of-the-box

· Capable of working with cross functional and senior stakeholders.

· At least 4 years of working experience

· Familiar with relevant productivity software such as Jira, SharePoint, Tableau etc.

· Ability to employ data analytics to enhance compliance processes will be advantageous

Salary: $4500 - $5500
