Reporting to the Security Executive and Security Supervisor, this role is responsible for ensuring the security and safety of all stakeholders (i.e. staff, students, parents, visitors and contractors etc) and property.

Responsibilities (Key areas of Responsibilities):

• Ensure strict adherence to all security SOPs and preventive measures at all times.
• Perform day to day operational duties including patrol, escort duties, traffic control and static duties such as security checks and visitor registration.
• Monitor security systems including the CCTV, Fire Alarm etc in the designated post.
• Observe and report any suspicious behavior of visitors, unauthorized removal of CIS property, criminal acts (e.g. theft or misconduct etc), safety or fire hazards, loss or accidents that could put CIS at risk.
• Enforce gate or school closure upon receiving instructions in the event of an evacuation or emergency.
• Undertake any other duties as assigned by the Senior Security Executive, Security Supervisor and/or Head of Facilities.

Requirements:

• Valid Security Officer licence under PLRD
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar capacity
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Firm, tactful, observant, alert and maintains a pleasant disposition when handling visitors and/or stakeholders
• Physically and medically fit to handle security related duties
• Able to do shift work on a rotational basis: 7am to 7pm and 7pm to 7am

Job Summary

Assist Unit Leader, Residential Care (RC) in the operations of the Home to ensure that all the residents are provided with quality care and protection.

Provide proper supervision, guidance and quality care are delivered to the children or youths in an identified unit (approx. 10 to 15 residents) in Melrose Home.

Duties and Responsibilities

Home Management

• Programme Development:

To support and support the Unit Leaders and Senior Guidance Officers’ efforts in developing and implementing biopsychosocial or educational programmes in the unit.

Resident Management:

• Supervision of Residents’ Physical Needs - To ensure residents received adequate food nourishment and support them in doing their laundry.

Supervision of Residents’ Psychosocial Needs

• To provide supervision and care to the residents. The GO is to actively promote the involvement of all residents in the Home’s social group, counter the isolation of individuals by others, nurture friendships between residents, and support those residents who for any reason do not readily “fit in” to the social group.
• To guide and develop socially acceptable behaviour in residents, in a manner that does not infringe on their rights or the rights of others, and which is consistent with sound behaviour management principles.
• To support the residents’ adherence to the Unit’s behaviour management system. This system gives clarity to the rules and requirements of the Home and sets clear expectations on how residents should relate to one another.
• To manage residents’ behavioural issues using a trauma-informed approach.
• To provide guidance for residents in supporting their growth and development and motivate/mentor the residents.
• To provide support for the positive social and emotional development of the residents.

Health and Hygiene

• To ensure the proper maintenance and cleanliness of the Home’s premises and the unit’s dormitory.
• To educate and reinforce acceptable personal hygiene standards to youth and children.
• To oversee the medical and health needs of the residents in the unit.

Academic and Cognitive Needs

• To oversee the academic needs of the residents in the unit.

Crisis Management

• To provide on-site incident or crisis management when necessary

Supervision Outside of Melrose Home

• To escort and supervise youths and children to and from the clinic, the hospital, the school or to attend programmes and activities outside the Home.

Integrated Care Plans

• In consultation with the Caseworker, to support the Residents’ integrated care plans through the programmes delivered in the unit or through day to day tasks/activities

Undertake any other duties directed by Unit Leader and / or Manager, RC

Note: The residential home setting is a 24/7 facility. Guidance Officers are rostered to work shifts (sometimes 7am to 4pm, mostly 1pm to 10pm; 5 days a week with 2 rotational off days).

The role requires the individual to perform a variety of accounting and administrative tasks. These include providing support to the different departments, assisting in the daily office needs and managing of the company’s accounts.

Accounting

• Assist with accounts payable & receivables.

Administration

• Support warehouse inventory management.
• General administrative duties.
• Maintaining Human Resource records.
• Maintaining efficient office administration systems.
• Maintain and organise filing system.
• Attend internal and external requests, calls, and emails.
• Attend warehouse deliveries and collections.
• Handling and sort delivery orders.
• Any other ad-hoc duties assigned time to time.

EDUCATIONAL / SKILLS QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor of Accounting / Bachelor of Banking and Finance / Bachelor of Business Administration
• At least 1-2 years of experience in supporting office accounts functions.
• Proficient in MS office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
• Good English verbal and written communication skills
• Able to multi-task and operate in a fast-paced environment.
• Willing to provide additional administrative support when required.

Job Description:

· Performing administrative tasks, such as print customer invoices, statement of accounts and data entry for inventory.

· Preparing monthly schedules and generating AR and Inventory reports for verification and audit purpose.

· Contacting clients as needed to ensure payment of outstanding invoices.

Job requirements:

1. Minimum O level & above.

2. Prefer experience in Accounting Accpac Accounting Software handling Accounts Receivable &

Inventory modules.

3. Knowledge in Words and Excel.

4. Possess good communication skills and positive attitude.

5. Min 2 years’ experience in Accounts.
