Job Description:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Accounts Executive/Accountant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, with hands-on experience in managing a full set of accounts and proficiency in Xero accounting software. This role is perfect for someone who is detail-oriented, efficient, and committed to maintaining high standards of financial management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, examine, and analyse accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
• Manage the full set of accounts including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
• Conduct quarterly GST submissions in a timely and accurate manner.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems.
• Utilise Xero accounting software for financial management and reporting.
• Collaborate with the finance team to improve financial procedures and systems.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; or any professional certification in accounting qualifications or an accounting diploma.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in handling a full set of accounts.
• Demonstrated experience in quarterly GST submissions.
• Hands-on experience with Xero accounting software.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

About The Role
To provide administrative and support services to the Centre Manager.
This is a dedicated internal and external client service role. You will be involved in paperwork documentation and filing, engagement with parents, interactions with the children and working co-operatively with all team members.

The Opportunity

• Prepare financial and centre reports (e.g. petty cash, daily collections, centre enrolment report, etc)
• Prepare monthly forms such as teachers and students’ attendance form, sign in/out forms, school bus attendance forms, etc.
• Conduct daily health checks on the children upon arrival when necessary
• Assist parents in the purchase of merchandise such as uniforms, caps, books, etc
• Administrative work (sales, collection of fees, and collection of forms) and upkeep of centre premises.
• Conduct stock-taking and restocking of supplies such as merchandise and stationery
• Ensure safety and timely transfer of students from school to centre
• Ensure safety of children within the premises
• Handle other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Who we’re looking for:

• Diploma in Business Management with minimum of 2 years of working experience in a preschool environment.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Proficient in Taidii would be an added advantage
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Meticulous, organised and able to multi-task
