Mott MacDonald Singapore is currently looking for a Superintending Officer Representative on an upcoming large infrastructure project. As a Superintending Officer Representative, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing construction projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will act as the primary point of contact between the project stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Oversight: Monitor and supervise construction activities to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections to ensure the quality of work meets the required standards and specifications.
• Coordination: Facilitate communication and coordination between clients, contractors, architects, and other stakeholders.
• Progress Reporting: Prepare and present regular progress reports to clients and senior management, highlighting any issues or delays.
• Problem Solving: Identify and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the construction process.
• Budget Management: Monitor project budgets and expenditures, ensuring cost-effective solutions are implemented.

About You:

• Minimum fifteen (15) years working experience in civil infrastructure or building development or airfield or similar works as an Engineer/ Project Manager in construction contract administration for works of similar nature.
• Possess an Engineering degree recognized by Professional Engineers Board of Singapore.
• Completed at least a project of similar nature as a S.O Rep or equivalent using PSSCOC or equivalent.
• Experienced and conversant with statutory code, PSSCOC or equivalent, contract administration management of claims and Extension of Time, progress reporting, requirements for site management and supervision, project execution plan and quality control procedures.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Administers members’ booking of the Sports facilities.
2. Assists in tabulating scores and coordinates events / tournaments.
3. Basic knowledge of Gym equipment / machines.
4. Cleaning the gym equipment / machines daily.
5. Ensures that the Sports’ outlet counter is clean and tidy at all times.
6. Checks the condition of the equipment.
7. Ensure members comply with the House rules.
8. Conducts regular checks at all the sports facilities to ensure they are in good condition.
9. Ensures all equipment & facilities are well-maintained and reports to Executive if any repair or upgrading is necessary.
10. Ensures that all billing chits are in running order.
11. Ensures that there is enough billing chit paper and printer paper.
12. Assist in Sports / Social Events / Programs.
13. Performs any other duties as assigned by the Head of Department / Executive.

Job Requirements

• GCE ‘O’ Level, preferably with one year of related working experience.
• A team player with positive working attitude.
• Customer-oriented and good initiatives.
• PC literate.

Responsibilities

• Analyses and evaluates marine and topside equipment for purchase.
• Negotiates with supplier
• Reviews purchase requisitions and purchase orders in accordance with the project requirement and a time schedule
• Liaises with project team and external vendors to ensure that the equipment/parts and materials are met within project’s specification and budget
• Manages full spectrum of purchasing process (sourcing, quotation, negotiation, shipping and delivery, etc)
• Issues and processes of purchase order in accordance with company policies and procedures
• Expedites order, monitor and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery
• Proposes recommendation for vendors and evaluates vendor’s performances
• Coordinates all warehouse operation matters to ensure all are in good order
• Resolves any discrepancy found on delivered equipment and material upon receiving
• Ensures proper gathering and distribution of all records, forms and reports pertaining to the receiving, storage, movement and control of equipment/ materials
• Supervises and manage warehouse personnel to ensure that the completions of tasks are in accordance to plans and schedules

Requirements

• Preferably Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Process/Marine Offshore/Logistics/ Supply Chain Management or related discipline
• 5 years of relevant working experience
• Knowledge of topside equipment will be an added advantage
• Entry Level candidates are welcome to apply (On Job Training will be provided)

• Possess good interpersonal and communication skills
• Able to multi-task and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Prior experience in managing contracts for equipment, especially topside, will be an added advantage.
