Responsibilities:

• Monitor and follow up on the timely submission of employee timesheets for accurate revenue recognition.
• Ensure that the Accounts Payable (AP) month-end closing is completed within the specified timeline.
• Perform vendor verification and creation in SAP.
• Process payables transactions, including supplier invoices and employee reimbursements, in compliance with accounting principles, GST regulations, and the correct General Ledger (GL) account based on the nature of expenses.
• Review invoices for compliance with financial policies, circulate invoices for departmental verification and approval, and ensure proper documentation is in place before processing payments.
• Prepare reconciliations for balance sheet schedules, vendor accounts, and the general ledger.
• Prepare month-end journal entries, including payable accruals and prepayments amortization.
• Assist in the preparation of GST reports for submission.
• Support year-end external and internal audits, including preparing audit schedules.
• Provide business partnership to business divisions and suppliers regarding Accounts Payable queries.
• Perform ad-hoc finance duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Minimum a Diploma/ Degree in Accountancy or Accounting related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably within an MNC and a high-volume environment.
• Strong working knowledge of GST regulations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experienced with computerized accounting systems. Familiarity with SAP accounting system is an advantage.
• Meticulous, well-organized, and detail-oriented.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication skills.
• Capable of working independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

The Role

You shall be reporting to Senior Finance Manager and working closely with Head of Finance.

1. Bookkeeping and Financial Records:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for two entities, including tenant-related transactions.
• Ensure timely and accurate posting of journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, and adjustments.
• Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts monthly.

2. Accounts Payable Operations:

• Process supplier invoices for 3-4 group entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Prepare payment runs and ensure timely settlement of liabilities.
• Manage vendor relationships and address any invoice or payment queries.
• Verify payment documentation to ensure adherence to internal controls and procedures.

3. Tenant Management:

• Prepare and issue invoices to tenants.
• Track rental payments and follow up on overdue accounts.
• Handle tenant queries regarding invoicing and payments professionally.

4. Month-End Closing:

• Assist in month-end closing activities, including preparation of schedules and reports.
• Ensure compliance with reporting timelines and accuracy of financial data.

5. Compliance and Audit:

• Support annual audit processes by preparing audit schedules and liaising with auditors.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.

Your Profile

• Diploma in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field. Open to consider candidates who are currently pursuing an accounting professional qualification.
• Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in bookkeeping and accounts payable operations.
• Proficiency in accounting software (Lucanet) and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple entities and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in the property management or real estate industry is a plus.

• Tax Guidance: Knowledge and experience in tax computation and advisory for clients will be highly advantageous.
