(A) Job Summary:

• Manages the purchases of construction materials at site.

(B) Essential Job Functions:

• The Purchasing Officer (Site) is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

Quality

•  Make orders for construction materials and other items as requested.
•  Ensure timely delivery of orders.
•  Ensure all delivery orders are in accordance to PO and verification of DO for preparation of payment.
•  Call for quotations and source for new supplies if need and recommendation of award.
•  Follow up on complaints on product quality.
•  Process and generate PO/RO
•  All other tasks assigned

•  GCE O/A Levels or Diploma qualifications.
•  At least 3 years of relevant working experience.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Safety Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act and other relevant Singaporean safety regulations.
• Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments regularly.
• Liaise with government authorities (e.g., MOM, BCA, etc.) for safety audits and certifications.

2. Site Monitoring:

• Supervise and monitor all construction activities to ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Identify hazards, evaluate risks, and recommend corrective actions to mitigate potential dangers.

3. Training & Development:

• Conduct safety induction programs for new workers and regular safety training sessions.
• Promote awareness of safety measures and foster a proactive safety culture within the organization.

4. Incident Management:

• Investigate accidents or near-miss incidents to identify root causes and recommend preventive measures.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, safety training, and risk assessments.

5. Documentation & Reporting:

• Prepare and maintain site safety documentation, including safety reports, inspection checklists, and permits.
• Submit periodic safety performance reports to management.

6. Emergency Preparedness:

• Develop and implement emergency response plans tailored to the construction site.
• Conduct drills and ensure all employees are aware of emergency procedures.
