Responsibilities

Banking

• Provide monthly bank reconciliations including forex reinstatement
• Check bank charges and interests
• Correspondence and coordination with banks for accounts maintenance, new accounts, account closures and KYC changes etc.

Monthly Accounts

• Ensure revenue recognition, cost relevance, accruals and provisions etc.
• Should be hand on to prepare monthly reports incl. Trial Balance, Profit and Loss a/c, Balance Sheet, Segment wise accounts, Income Tax and Withholding tax, Investment, Debtors and Creditors Ageing, adjustment of forex gain/loss.
• Preparation of fixed asset and depreciation statement.
• Upkeep robust accounting software and optimize Chart of Accounts, Cost Centers & Cost Categories etc.
• Regular account ledger scrutiny, flag non-moving balances, receivable & payable management, cross matching revenue and balance sheet items.
• Prepare and maintain various dashboard reports relating to receivables, payables, cash flow plan, compliance calendar, actual and projected financial performance etc.

Audit

• Closing entries and preparation of audit schedules and detailed working papers with mapping.
• Work closely with auditors and ensure timely and smooth audit
• Maintain complete audit working files for each financial year
• Review final draft financial statements as per accounts and applicable accounting and financial reporting standards

Secretarial / Tax / Transfer Pricing Compliance

• Ensure timely filing of Form ECI, Form C, IR8A, IR21, CPF, etc. and payment of tax
• Transfer pricing table preparation, hands-on support and coordination with Consultants for report issuance and timely assistance to related parties for docs and information required by them from time to time.
• Maintain registers and record for shares, registered address, directors, board and general meetings including minutes and ensure timely filing of annual return and XBRL

Others

• Willingness to assist in trade / operation, HR and admin matters on need basis
• Ensure maintenance of auditable documentation for current and past periods as required under tax and company law.

Job Responsibilities:

· Handle full set of accounts, including AR, AP and GL.

· Perform month-end closing procedures and ensure timely and accurate monthly management reporting.

· Prepare and reconcile all balance sheet schedules.

· Monitor cash flow and commission received from insurance company.

· Verify and process staff reimbursements, vendors, and referral fee payments.

· Check commission receivable and payable reports.

· Prepare quarterly GST returns.

· Handle commission and service fees related enquiries.

· Liaise with insurers on commission-related matters.

· Participate in system implementation and improvement projects.

· Liaise with bankers, auditors, company secretary, tax agent and government sectors.

· Liaise with head/regional office on monthly inter-company billing.

· Carry out any project or assignment as directed by the superior.

Requirement:

· Degree in accounting with minimum 3 years of full sets experience.

· Experience in MYOB/Quickbooks is an added advantage.

· Experience in system implementation is a plus.

· Strong understanding of financial regulations, accounting principles, and financial analysis.

· Proactive, meticulous, committed, good team player with effective communication skills.

· Able to work independently and comfortable being hands-on.

Overall Function

The Accounts Receivable Accountant will be responsible for interfacing directly with the company's customers to ensure timely collection of over account balances. This individual will analyze and reconcile customer receivable balances.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor AR aging report and follow up with a collection for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities
• Perform account reconciliations and collections
• Perform suspension of accounts due to aged debts
• Prepare AR-related schedules/reports
• Prepare Monthly Dunning procedure for customers with aged debts
• Investigate and resolve customer queries, including resolving collection and payment discrepancies
• Maintain customer files and records across systems
• Prepare collection data analytics for management's review
• Perform monthly write off and provision
• Assist in Month-end financial statement close
• Support finance audit
• Might need to conduct a field survey (occasionally); coaching will be provided

Requirements

• 1-3 years of accounts receivable experience
• Diploma/Degree/Associate Degree in Accounting Related Field
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
